Locations include Allendale, Fairfax, Denmark, Beaufort, Sea Brook, Barnwell, Hampton, Varnville, Estill, Ridgeland, and Hardeeville. Instruction is conducted in small classes of no more than eight students. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and a positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching. A teaching certificate and previous instructional experience are highly desired. Bilingual skills are a plus! Must be able to commit to the length of program, which runs from November through April. Hours are available Monday - Thursday, 2:30-5:00 p.m.

We are looking for Part Time Tutors for all boroughs of NYC!
Responsibilities: § Deliver Kaplan’s curriculum through our proven instructional methods in reading and math § Instruct and drive the academic progress of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in a 1:1 ratio or a 3:1 ratio. Create and maintain a motivational and enthusiastic learning environment § Interact with parents and discuss their children’s progress by delivering progress reports § Meticulously record student performance and track students’ progress § Administer and score academic assessments § Participate in and successfully complete Tutor training sessions to learn and master Kaplan’s instructional methods § Willing to work in homes and/or public areas available for tutoring
Qualifications: § Previous experience working with students; classroom experience a plus § Bachelor’s Degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher § Demonstrated ability to explain challenging concepts in a motivating way § Effective communication skills with students, parents and staff § Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff § Available to work at least 4 hours each week § Weekday afternoons, evenings and/or weekend availability § Access to reliable transportation § Excellent academic and overall role model § Legally authorized to work in the US § Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required
