I'm just curious how everyone organizes their files. I have mine in a file folders, but I have seen some people who organize stuff in binders. Does one have more pros or cons than the other? Just wondering....

Fourth teach Selena, I am interested in making binders, what a wonderful idea. I was just wondering do you keep each master copy in protective sheets? Or do you hole punch it and add it to the binder? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Selena/4th Well, I usually like the plastic sleeves, but that can get really expensive, so a lot does just get hole-punched and placed in there. I also have dividers between the units to keep them separated. It makes it easy to file back.

Computer I guess I should have stated that I teach three sections of social studies, NO math, and NO science. I have a curriculum, but our resource materials are AWFUL!!!! I make everything myself.

Daniella I started out using file folders in file cabinets. Then I switched to binders. I'm back to file cabinets. They both have their advantages.

I color code my file folders. I'm a language teacher, so I have 1 color for sentence structure, another for mechanics, usage, etc.

Stacy I really am enjoying these responses. I have always used folders, but I have so much stuff that it's kind of out of hand! I am not always as good as I should be about putting things back in the correct folder, so I've been wondering about binders as well. Thank you all for your input!
