How do you check homework? I have 31 students and can't afford to take out 15 minutes to go around to each student and check their math hw and writing journal. But they need some kind of accountability. how do you all do it?
Tayy My students sit in groups and pass their homework down to the group monitors. The monitors let me know who does not have homework and I mark it in my gradebook. mia We are standards based. Just give a yes for doing the homework, go over one or two problems. grades are based on assessment of standards. I keep track of hw because if kids are not meeting standards extra practice might help.

Cullen In math, I do homework quizzes. On Monday, I pass out a packet with all five assignments for the week. It gets graded, either by me or in class, but not recorded.
