My students sit in groups and pass their homework down to the group monitors. The monitors let me know who does not have homework and I mark it in my gradebook. I then quickly place a check on the papers and the monitors pass them back down. If needed, I go over the homework but rarely. It takes about 5 minutes for me to check homework this way.
