I've redesigned my website...again...LOL! I used Frontpage. My host is Total Choice Hosting. Tell me what you think. P.S. I'm never going to learn all of that HTML stuff...so don't even say it...:o) Mae

Not to me. The title and green vines are all the way to the right, overlapping the black/grey columns. Mainly because of bad HTML and lots of in the code (spaces). The table doesn't overlap the column on the left, but does on the right. Everything seems out of alignment. I don't think it's Firefox as much as a lack of design basics.
Buying a new laptop. I need it for video editting, photos, Flash (creating docs), games (my husband plays some), internet, and basic computing applications. The Dell I'm looking at is about $2000 and the Mac I'm looking at is $2500.
Do you think a Mac is worth the money? I'm becoming partial to them, even though I'm writing this from a Dell desktop.
One thing that is selling me on the Mac is they do last a long time, you typically don't have the rebooting problems, adn there aren't the virus issues. Also, the laptop is just really cool!!!

I have used Mac since I left DOS. I have a Dell, as I write grade book software. Since I got a MacBook with Parallels, the Dell laptop just sits. If nothing alone, just doing a search. A Mac can search the entire drive in seconds, including looking _inside_ documents. XP slogs through folder (ahh, yes, directory) after folder so slowly you can see the files going by. They tell me I should miss the right mouse.
As far as help, before I retired, I was a Tech Coach at 4 elementary schools teaching kids and teachers. There were over 600 Macs. I also was to keep the servers (Mac), computers and printers going. If a computer really broke, there was a repair service for that. Still, I am not sure I could have handled that many PCs.
(I am writing on my Mac. Can't remember when I last rebooted it.)

Some people using IE seem to be having trouble loading my class website. I have checked with IE and have no trouble.
I have not idea why this is the case and what to do about it. I've asked a student to try some recommendations for changing settings for IE, but none of the recommendations applied to version 7.? he was using.
I feel it is something to do with Flash text and a roll over, but even when I removed the roll over, my 'test student' still could not get the page to load and function correctly. I really don't want to remove all the flash text unless I really know this is the cause of the trouble.
and if it is - how can I keep the text buttons and stop the problem? The site was made with Dreamweaver MX education version, so it is a bit old. As you will see, it doesn't use CSS, which the student was trying to blame.
if you have time and ability to help - it will be much appreciated. I've dabbled in my few spare moments for several months with nothing accomplished and many frustrated students.
I tested this with IE 5.1 and it worked fine. I tried it with Safari and it worked fine. I can't see any problem. It sounds like it's a problem with the student's computer and not the website itself.
Internet Explorer 7 (evil little guy) is having some issues with the java rollover. It basically seizes the whole page. I have a feeling the site was built with a wysiwyg editor. The site works fine in Safari, Opera, and firefox. I would use CSS rollovers to solve the problem. If you need any help fixing the site I can help I would just have questions and would just rewrite the code. email me if you can't get it. Oh I don't charge teachers and if you want to see my work click digi-lutions logo.
I am a web developer and occasionally check this site for fun. (I'm a teacher to:-) It is easier to diagnose web problems if I can read the source code, please provide links to sites in question.
I just downloaded Photostory 3 from Microsoft. I use Dreamweaver for our school website. Can I do a slide show in Photostory 3 and put it in Dreamweaver to upload it to the site? Thanks for any help.

I know that--I was saying that if you didn't want separate pages for each lesson plan or teacher's lesson plans, that doing it that way would cause a conflict if two teachers tried to edit the same file, be it text files included or html files.
