Excel math lessons and Facebook

I am looking for a lesson plan for middle school students that involves using Excel. I want the students to chart how using Facebook and adding "friends" grows exponentially. Does anyone have any ideas or lesson plans along these lines? Thanks

How do you add music to a smartboard lesson (notebook)?

Hi, I want to add a song to my notebook lesson about money. I have the song in itunes and want to import it so that I can push and icon and have that song begin to play.

I have a PC attached to smart board, but am going to connect MACBOOK to it. another teacher tried it and found problems. does anyone have problems with mac attached? any suggestions - she had connected it but didn't work

Promethean Board Question

Does anyone who has a promethean board have trouble with their "pens"? My pens don't work....and my tech won't fix them.

marsha Sometimes the pen nibs need to be replaced. You can call Promethean and they will send you new ones for free.

PDFs on SmartBoard

I like to bring up PDF worksheets on the SmartBoard from time to time, and allow kids to go up and write answers with the digital markers.

The problem I'm having is that, when I scroll down the fonts get all messed up.

Is there a way to pull up and write on PDFs without this happening?

PW Yes, but you will need to print the PDF to the SMART software to turn it into a Notebook file. Just open the PDF, use the Print command, and when the print dialog box appears select "SMART Notebook Print Capture" as the printer. The file will automatically open in the Notebook software and you can scroll and write on the pages without dealing with ...See More

My administration has asked me if I would like to have a Promethean Board in my classroom. I teach Drafting and CAD. Does anyone have any idea on how I could use this to my advantage? Are the students able to access this tool?

teach4 If that is what she is trying to do I know I took a class where the instructor did this, but sorry I don't have a board yet so haven't practiced it and my notes are at school. Is there a help you can check for this?

4NC I have done this for Smartboard and Promethean and I just copy paste the link onto my flipchart page where it needs to be inserted and open from there when I need access.

Hi. I just got an Activboard 2 but setup instructions to put together and on the wall are so vague it is unbelievable. Do I have to get it setup professionally?
