teach4Do more people post discussions on the ring? I belonged to a ring one time and there was too much 'traffic' on it, it was hard to keep up, how much is there on this?
I have funds to put towards technology and wanted your thoughts on Smartboards, Mimeo and/or other newer technologies that you find helpful to you as a teacher. Please share your experience and your top choice(s) if you had $10,000 to spend.
I have made and found online many, many sound sorts. I would like to go beyond that with my smartboard. What are some other ideas you have tried or heard of? Please share.

You can visit the Numonics website([link removed].
I have worked as a consultant for Numonics and if you go to my website, [link removed].
I used the Promethean for sixth grade last year, and it was fantastic. There are so many features that Promethean offers that are really easy for students to use, I highly recommend it! I don't know as much about the Smartboard, but I think it probably is comparable, so if you end up getting it, find out everything you can about it, play around with it, and have fun! Your students will love either technology! Susan

Thanks, Susan...I have a Promethean board ordered that should arrive next week! While waiting, I've downloaded the "viewer" at the Promethean Planet website and have been using several of the flipcharts on my current IWB. I'm excited to have full access coming soon! kteacher
1. Do you hav...See MoreI am doing research for an Online Degree program and I wanted to ask teachers who either had their masters, are considering getting their masters, or have been deterred from getting their masters because of the lack of institutions near them. If anyone wouldn't mind please post your thoughts on any of the following questions:
1. Do you have your Masters Degree? 2. If you have your masters would it have been easier to complete your degree were you offered an online degree program? 3. If you don’t have your masters would you be more inclined to pursue a degree if you were able to do it with an online degree program? 4. Does the name of the institution matter when you are thinking about getting your masters degree? 5. Does your school offer a pay raise for teachers with Masters Degrees? 6. What are some factors that would prevent you from pursuing your degree in an online degree program? Please list several.

I don't know if other people would "look down" on an online program as not being as rigerous as an on campus program. >
Where would I find some good templates to create fun, interactive, game- show like games for my students to review concepts in a chapter prior to a chapter test? Thanks.

I have borrowed a set of Senteo Clickers from our professional library to use with my Smartboard for a week. What are some ways that you have used them?

Create a title page and then keep the following questions as a question set. When you are ready to have the students begin, show the title page and click "start." A graph will appear and keep updating showing what percentage of students have completed each question. When all are at 100%, click "stop" and the graph changes to red & green to indicate the percent who got each question right or wrong. So you can click on the number of the question that needs review and you will be taken to that notebook page where you can discuss/review that question.
