caspariI think that is general public pricing. According to Smart, education pricing for a 32 pack of remote controls is $1,999 and $1,599 for the 24 pack.

I am trying to come up with a smartboard lesson for the IDEAS trait in the 6+1 Traits of Writing. Has anyone done one they would be willing to share? It is for Grade 3 but I will take anything!
LizzieI've used our response systems in conjunction with our subscription to StarrMatica. It won't be linked with your response system in the fact that you'll have to tell the kids which multiple choice answer is ABC and D, but I just wrote that next to each answer on our board.
A teacher on my campus had a "Quizdom" system and I liked that there were different games that you could use. For example, I could have a 20 question review assignment and it would show different race cars that would move forward depending on how many students got the question correct. Some would even record it by fastest time.
Are there similar games to use with the Senteo clickers?
I just got my Smartboard this year so I am very new to this.
Next week I have to have parents in to observe a lesson and I would love to use the Smartboard. Thanksgiving/holiday theme would be nice. I teach K-3 special ed.

What are some of the names of the devises that turn normal whiteboards into interactive boards? I need to look into the cost of these vs. LCD projectors.
Anyone want to say how well they work or don't work? Thanks.

Smart Airliners, Promethean Activeslates, Interwrite SchoolPads, and eInstruction Chalkboards are interactive wireless tablets that allow you use a projector and a whiteboard without having to battle the projector light and be stuck at the front of the classroom. Plus students don't have to get out of their seat to interact, you can just pass the pad around. The Chalkboards are RF, but not BlueTooth, plus they are Plug-and-play. Both Interwrite's SchoolPad and eInstruction's Chalkboard can be used with any board and have software that seamless uses ExamView question banks that come with your textbook, eInstruction bought both ExamView and Interwrite. Happy shopping!

Thanks for all the info--just what I need for my Principal.
Ok, here's the situation. Have used a Smart Board for the last 3 years teaching. Moved to a new district this year and 3 weeks ago was sent to Promethean training. Doesn't look too complicated, but I'm sooooo used to a Smart Board. What are the pros, cons, ups and downs of Promethean.
Our district has purchased quite a few SmartBds. and I'm a certified trainer for Smarttech. We are taking a look at Promethean and several teachers are involved in a trial with their software. So far I can't make an informed decision because I'm so used to Smart Notebooks, etc.. Input would be appreciated on the pros and cons of each. Thanks
I've heard of teachers installing the software on their laptops so they can take this home to create Smart lessons.
We have a new tech director this year and he's still trying to reorganize all the mountains of files in his office -- he came just in time for a major renovation at the school which meant his office would move. The move left the tech office in a mess.
SOOOO, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it's legal to put the software on a laptop for this purpose? (Copyright stuff, you know.)

If you don't have it or can't find it, they have a way to work with you. I work on things at home, put them on a flash flash drive and take them to school! Hope this helps!

In the Gallery under Lesson Activity toolkit - there is a page called a color chooser. You can select a number of colors to be displayed, but I am trying to select certain colors -not just the ones being shown. Is there any way to customize this and just choose the colors I want? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Marjan has just obtained his first Smartboard and is learning how to make the most of it for classroom use. Let the author of The Busy Educator's Guide to the WWW share with you what he's learning about how to get started with the interactive whiteboard in his short, but full-of-info, article! Enjoy!
