I have gotten off to a late start. I have just joined this site and was thrilled to see the 100th day festivities! I would love to get my kindergarten class in on the action with 100 e-mails. We would love to hear from you and where you live, what grade you teach, and maybe what the weather is like there. I am in Bamberg, SC! We are a 5 year old kindergarten class. I know it is last minute but we will celebrate our 100th day on Wednesday, January 22! Thanks for your help!!!

Howdy from Corsicana,Texas--we are a class of 20 Kindergarten students that go to Carroll Early Childhood Center in Corsicana. We are one of 5 classes and there are 8 pre-k classes in our school along with 2 classes for students that have special needs. Our school is very unique because we have to share the building with the gradws 1-5.They have their own principal just like we do,but we have to share the cafeteria, computer lab, music and p.e. teachers and the library with the other side.We get to do activities that they don't get to do.Our classroom is in the part of the building that was built about 3 years ago and we get to ahve some new things. We have 3 computers in our room plus a 52 inch television that is mounted in the ceiling that we all get to watch movies or do something on the computer as a class. We go to the computer lab twice a week for 30 minutes and we all get to work on our own computer at the same time. Each week we learn a letter a week,a math concept and a theme ans many things about science and Social Studies. We like Winnie the Pooh a lot because the room is decorated with it and that is our teachers likes the most. We are located 54 miles south of Dallas and I hope you like the information that we have sent you.Now please tell us a little about your school------Thanks Kim

Here are some fun activites that my first graders have enjoyed over the last few years. 100th Day Snack - divide the class into 5 groups. Have each group count out 100 of the following items: Chocolate chips, raisins, peanuts, M&M's. Mix together and serve.
101st School Day- On the school day following your 100th day celebration, have students write about their favorite 100th day in their jounals. Watch 101 Dalmations.
Song: 100 days of school this year, 100 days of school, Take 1 away Work and play 99 days of school this year.
I do 100th day centers. I break my class up into groups, they each get an opportunity to visit each center. 1. put together 100 piece puzzle 2. write 100 words they know 3. read 100 words 4. 100 excersises. 5. make 100th day snack
I also have each child bring in 100 pennies, I do multiple math activities with these pennies. When we are finished we use this money to purchase books and donate them to a shelter for other children to enjoy.
We also publish 2 classroom books. If I had 100 dollars I would buy? I wish I had 100?

I saw your two year old post re: 100 e-mails. Wonder if you achieved your goal.
If you noticed, our last name is the same. Interesting. I'm researching our Legee family tree that seems to be in Scots Bay, Nova Scotia.
I would be interested if you are still teaching and something about your students and the subject(s) you teach. I retired from being teaching Career's in a high school. Over my 30 years in schools, I worked elementry, middle and high school as well as continuation high school (for problem students).
Hello, I am looking to link my students up with another third grade class. I have 21 eager writers who would enjoy sharing some things about themselves with other students. If you are interested please e-mail me at the above address. Thanks, S.Honeywell Third Grade Teacher California, Mo.
