Hi -- check out my site, I am moving to first grade but when I taught 2nd I always did 101 days of school. They put 101 black dots on a t shirt and wore it, we also dressed like dogs and I face painted them. All the links and photos are on my website, check it out. :o)
I used to teach 1st grade. Now as a parent of a Kindergartener, I am trying to remember the words to a 100 day of school song to the tune of "Its a small world". Please help.

4th Graders in England looking for 100 emails from as many places as possible. Please tell us a little bit about your area (climate/geography/historical landmarks/etc). We will try and reply. Thanks!
We are 2nd grade class in Glen St. Mary. Florida, USA. We are located about 90 west of the Atlantic Ocean in Northeast Florida. At this time we are enjoying an unusally warm January. (The average high is mid 60s, yesterday it was 84 degree!) We are also trying to collect 100 emails for our 100th day (Jan. 22).

Don't miss this one.... after we complete our day of centers that focus on the 100th day we always have a 100 balloon helium balloon launch. ($40 or so, we use our fund raising money to pay for them). It is a lovely culmination... all children and guests stand in a big circle grasping a balloon.... we count to 100 by 5's and then we all let go.... it makes a magnificent visual... one that kids always come back to kindergaten and remember fondly.

This is my first time to do this, so if it does not work correctly, I am sorry. I was just wondering...if the ballons are biodegradible, why would it be considered pollution? And, even though the butterflies are a cute idea, students cannot track where the butterflies travel.
We are expanding our postcard exchange group to 100 participants this year. If you would like to receive 100 postcards by the 100th day of school please email me to join our group! You would be asked to send out 100 postcards if you choose to participate...but that is great experience. we have ideas to make it easy on you and not very expensive! If you are interested, email me and include your email address so I can get back to you! Amy from Texas
I know it might be a little late to join your group but would love to try to be a part of it anyway..... I teach 1st grade here in Forney... Heather Ford Criswell Elem. 401 FM 740 N Forney, TX 75126
