I am looking for a few more people to join our postcard exchange. (except NY, TX or CA, I already have too many from these states: ( It basically works like this-- you will receive a list of about 100 teachers from across the country ( I have 27 states and other countries included so far) your class's job will be to send each class a postcard from your region, state, etc. YOur class in return will receive 100 postcards by the 100th day of school. It is a lot of work but well worth it. I have done this for a few years now and my class loves it each year. If you have other questions or would like to join, please email me directly at [email removed]
I'm 14 and love Marine Biology, but I love Archaeology too. This job or (trips) sound like just the thing. Even though I am young i still just want something to assure me that there is a job out there for me when i get older. I just want to know the pay and what education I need. I want to know how old you have to be and anything else. This will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brad

I will need ideas for 100th day for 6th grade math.
I don't usually do this but this year I am doing a math probelme of the day based on the first 100 days of school so I thought 100 day celebration would be appropriate.

It's possible for students to think of a fact family that's product/quotient will be 100. Or they can also think of equivalent names of 100. For example C, 10x10, etc. These are great activities that require their high thinking skills.
Our first grade class is collecting postcards to go along with the 100 day of school. We would love for you to send us a postcard from your part of the country. We will send you one back. Thanks!

i am also a first grade teacher and teach first grade in NC . My name is also Holly Martin. I have friends that have googled themself and did the same. It was weird to see another teancher with my name. My students would get a kick out out another teacher with my name. Sincerely, Hooly MArtin
You could send small groups in the hall with one of the teachers and have the students take 100 steps and see where they end up, then mark that spot with a cut-out of a foot and the student's name on it. You could make a rainbow of 100 hands (dip the students hands in paint and make a colorful rainbow).

We put the kids into groups with students in PK to 2 in one group. THe kids loved it. Lots of peer tutoring going on. Anyway, we had 24 stations and the kids rotated in and out of the stations in 10 minute time slots. We had everything from the snack mix to making 100 day sunglasses to counting the number of times one can jump rope in 100 secs or hula hoop or write his/her name. Just various activities.

Hello everyone! I knew this was the place I needed to go for help with our project. We are hoping to collect 100 e-mails by the end of January. So far, we have 20!! Our plan is to chart our responses on a world map. So, we need your city, state, and country (if you are outside the US)!
Thanks so much! Lynn Westside Elementary ~ 2nd grade Glen St. Mary, Florida
I teach kindergarten in Madill, OK. We will be celebrating 100 days of school on January 28 and would like to map 100 emails. Please send your city and state and your class name to [email removed]!
