Hi! My class of 24 kindergarten students would like to collect 100 e-mails from other classrooms around the world by our 100th day on February 6th. Please tell us about your class, your school and your town and state (or country). If you know the title of a book about your state or country, please send that also. We are going to post them on our map in our classroom. We are also collecting postcards from across the United States for Read Across America on March 2nd. We also post the postcards on the map, and we read a book about or set in the state the postcard is from. Check out the Read Across America board for information about Read Across America. We would also like to invite everyone to visit our website, "Kindergarten Kapers" at [link removed]!

Thanks to Helen Gamby for that link yesterday. I checked out that website your student showed you and it seems pretty reasonable. The prices seem to be in Canadian dollars and would be cheaper for US residents. I will furthur investigate this site and report back to everyone with my due diligence.

We are a first grade class from Plains, Pennsylvania. We are trying to collect 100 emails by the 100th day of school. We would appreciate emails from anywhere in the U.S. or from any other countries.

Hi!
I know your 100 dyas are probably up but i still wanted to contribute. I grew up in plains pa. I went to lt. duddy then maffett then plains jr high then coughlin. Since then i went to college at penn state. and i just moved to honolulu hawaii 6 months ago. i am now teaching biology and science here and i must tell you the education back there is so much better. i was a business major in college so i am learning science too also as my students are. I just want all you students to know how lucky you are there. We dont even have enough text books for all the students. so make sure you know that you have some of the best teachers in the country and try the best you can.

A Great Classroom Activity ! This course follows the National Standards, they give you two weeks to complete the CPR course and you can do it one of two ways. 1. The teacher pays the $35 to get a certification card and all her students can learn how to perform CPR FREE. 2. Everyone receives a certification card for as little as $1.00 per person. After you pass the exam you can print out your CPR card. Check it out is is awsome. cprpros.com

Cathy, could you tell me a little more about how you do these adorable art projects? Do you have each child do one, the entire class do a part of it, or do you send this home for each child to do at home. I love this idea!! Our 100 day is on Feb 12, and I'm looking very forward to doing some fun things!

Hi Denice, I send home a letter and ask the parents to help their child create a picture using 100 of the same item. They cannot draw 100 items but must use 100 pennies, toothpicks, etc. It probably is a little late to do this project this year. I usually give the kids two weeks to do this project. dc
Our 100th day of school is next Tuesday (February 6th). We have been trying to collect 100 e-mails and postcards for our 100th day, and we have received several. We haven't gotten 100 yet though, and we would really appreciate if everyone could help us out by sending us an e-mail to [email removed]!
