Jen Here's a great Post Christmas Craft that's Green! I did it with my High School science class while we watched a video on saving our earth and brainstormed more ways to reduce, reuse and recycle!
I'd like to invite you to take part in a project of ours, based on the poetry of Shel Silverstein...

Basically we're taking his poems and turning them into song.
And we'd like the find creative kids to illustrated them. We're even giving away some of a bunch of Silverstein books although mostly this is a fun and challenging exercise for 4-8 year olds, although it's not limited to those ages.
Please check out that page as I've given more details there, and let me know if anything needs to be made more clear, I'd be happy to answer any questions. Thanks!
The best way to get it to us might be to zip up the files and upload them to [link removed].
I should mention that we came up with a method of recognizing the participants... every artist that takes part will have a button made using his work, shortly afterward. Spread the word! We'd love to have many more involved.

What you do Step 1: Rinse the soda can good and dry it off.Put sand in it so it wont tip over then tape the drinking hole. then take white paint and paint it.Let it dry afterwards Step 2: Take the openiing end of the sock and Hot glue it to its head.Press down on that end to go on. Step 3: Cut the hat to how long you want the hat. Step 4:Go to the middle of the hat and tie a ribbon to it.If you want you can put a pom-pom on the tip of the hat. Step 5: Glue googly eyes. Cut a big enough peice of orange pipe cleaner and fold it in half and glue on the nose. Then you take glitter glue and draw a mouth. Step 6: If you want to put a scarf take a 1/2 inch wide cloth ang glue it on the snowman's neck.If tou want a jacket take the other end of the cut sock and put it on the snow man and glue it down.Make sure that there are no cloth hanging from the jacket so you glue it to the bottom of the can.Put 1 pompom on the front of the jacket and take glitter glue and sread it around he jacket

Hello Natasha, I have a website with 97 visually structured tasks that are mspecifically designed for children with autism. It is located at [link removed],
Does anyone have an idea for a craft project dealing with the tale of despereaux? I thought about making a wind chime out of spoons? I'm pretty new at teaching a book club. Thanks!
We are able to add some books to our current library art selections and I would be very interested to hear what works for you! Why is Blue Dog Blue is currently on my list.
I am not an Art teacher but thought I could suggest this site to you. It is a place that you can build your own book lists. Just create a page and then build your own resource lists. Put in Why is Blue Dog Blue and add to your list. Then when other teachers type in Blue Dog they will see what is on your list. This site is free.
This is my first year in All Day K. I need some more activities for them! I'd like some site that has art ideas or patterns of animals/objects, that I could have them use as a prompt for some writing as well as doing some kind of art activity. Anyone know of a website or a good resource book for this?

We were able to find a room in the building that was large enough to do the traditional Ukrainian eggs without setting off the sprinklers - the banquet hall of the Church. We also did the tape and crayons too! Thanks!

Here's another plan to make a box made from a greeting card. This one makes a small square box.
