Of human communications to keep our lives busy!
Through the progress of humanity, changes
Have been made to achieve the various needs-
Irrespective of the obstacles or hardship,
Scientific discovery sowed the technology seeds!
Progress of humanity via communication technology
Has been a cornerstone over the years-
But still it reminds us the poorest millions
Who are excluded to communicate and living in fears!
The potential for better human understanding
Is directly linked with global communication rights-
And this need is as basic to the mankind as the architect
For peace with a future bathed in lights!
In an effort to bring the scattered human race together,
Speedy and unbroken communication is the key-
’Cause it will reduce any misunderstanding
That often leads to war from desert sands to shining sea!
So as we are entering the “information age”,
We must create a shared vision for the human race-
And bridge the digital divide to accelerate progress
While putting a smile on the poorest face!
Unfortunately, the village dwellers of developing nations
Are still unconnected to the rest of the Earth-
And are totally excluded from basic human rights
To communicate, for poverty since their birth!
So the alleviation of hunger and disease may promote
The need for modern technology tool-
To bring the hapless villagers into information society
Through its decorated gateways so wonderful!
On this “digital era”, or “information age”, let us find
Innovative ways for our prosperity to share-
While promoting the local culture in the local language
With a cultural heritage to touch or stare!
“H-Ray Vision” tells the communication society that we
Need to build must be open and pluralistic in nature-
And allow the humanity to have access to the knowledge
And information for a display of caricature!
Remember, ubiquity of advanced information and
Communication technologies will create the indelible link-
And galvanize a sustainable world with the strong
Foundation of peace for the mankind to sink!!

The so-called three R’s* had been playing
A synonymous tune to portray the pride of a literate view-
While the modern technologies develop and spread
At a rapid speed globally with a prominent hue!
It’s an irony that nearly one-seventh of the world
Population still cannot read or write-
And lacks a fundamental freedom of literacy
Which had kept them out of sight!
Grinding poverty, wars, famine, and natural disasters
Are also playing the important roles-
To add an insult to the injury of illiteracy
And create unreachable dreams of million souls!
Truly it’s a scandal and blight on humanity
To marginalize people with meager means-
Irrespective of the progress of information
And knowledge via books or papers, as it seems!
Literacy is a basic human right and a vehicle
For the promotion of national and cultural identity-
Buried in our complex world today
That needs to be unveiled now for human sanctity!
Literacy is a stalwart for daily life in modern society
To signify a bridge from misery to hope-
And serves as an immortal expression of human values
Beyond the gender, religion, or ethnicity scope!
Undoubtedly, the combat with illiteracy is a bulwark
Against global poverty and hunger for sure-
Regardless of plans, harmonized with strategy,
We must be ready to deal with or find a cure!
As evidenced from its inception, literacy is a platform
That can lend a greater voice-
To the disadvantaged, excluded, or marginalized,
Through their political will and convey a choice!
Literacy is always embedded in social realities
Like work, families, and so on-
Followed by religion, relationship,
And political activities from dusk till dawn!
Apart from literacy, communication is the key element
That now plays a significant role-
In our interdependent world today where speed
And mobilizations are the millennium goal!
Poverty reduction or eradication is a major paradigm
To improve our relationships and human solidarity-
While literacy will protrude an immortal pride
Via a better understanding for an eternity!
Elimination of gender disparities in enrolment
In schools is now a leading food for thought-
To promote literacy, while insisting on the removal
Of persistent inequalities must be sought!
The quality of teaching and learning
Is based on curriculum with several factors-
Such as teachers, materials, facilities,
And techniques that remain as the salient actors!
The need for healthy, well-nourished,
And motivated students is no longer a foul cry-
While engaging in safe learning environments
With local cultures that we should try!
Speeding up of literacy efforts via construction
Of more schools is not a remedy or a cure-
’Cause there will always be those who are, or feel,
Excluded and will be forced down to endure!
Girls, children of the poor, with disability,
Or impaired by HIV/AIDS suffer the most-
Irrespective of the efforts or school reforms,
Supported by local communities from coast to coast!
“Hillolsphere” reveals, adult literacy thwarts a profound
impact
By adding community values on next generations’ mind-
And reinforces empowerment where voice
With expression of identity will keep us aligned!
Well, there’s a need for a better understanding
Of hidden barriers to women’s literacy now-
So emphasis should be placed on out-of-school girls
And adolescent young women with a reform vow-
Literacy must consider rural, pre-urban, and nomadic
Populations engaged in poverty fight-
And enhance their self-esteem, mobility
Or participation for a future bathed in light!
Distance education covers literacy promotion
For the working-class away from school-
And it may be uniquely placed to raise awareness
With various supports via technology tool!
Literacy can be combined with physical and psychological
Rehabilitation and re-integration into local scene-
To expedite the normalcy of life that had faced
Conflict, displacement, or gone through thick and thin!
Religious practices are often linked with literacy
Via holistic approach and devotion to God-
While promoting the spiritual expressions
In shaping decisions and actions to get His nod!
Through the reformation and implementation
Of literacy definition over the past fifty years-
A sound basis of understanding and commitment
Has been built with global cheers!
Still societal change, language, and electronic
communication
Continue to affect the meaning of ‘literacy’ term-
And remind us the existence of a backlog
Of deprivation that kills the salient charm!
In “H-Ray Vision” and “Hillologue”, literacy is a catalyst
To serve as an expression of the global mankind-
And it can enhance our learning ability with a
Cultural identity that anywhere we can find!
Varied forms of literacy - on paper or on computer screen,
Typed or handwritten, must serve the same purpose for all-
And thus pave the roads to bring human progress,
Irrespective of the size of the nations, big or small!
Unfortunately, funding to fight illiteracy of mankind
Has often been neglected for the lack of a clear vision-
So may I urge for a global effort to gather the aspirations
And enrich the humanity with its literacy mission???

brain-

Or twilight romance in our life’s ritual train!
Speech affairs and music compositions occupy
Definite spots in a busy creative mind-
Followed by in-depth analyses and vocabularies,
Since ancient dawn, that in history we can find!
Our conscience is dissolved in our brains,
And we, as individuals, have become a slave of our past-
Influenced by the societal “blessing”
Or a rudimental environment, depicted on the global
forecast!
To me, it seems our actions and thoughts are motivated
By the engrained structures of our genes-
And we carry with us the old incredible beasts,
Or wander in awe, like gypsies in their teens!
We possess the disdain of cunning and cruelty
Of thousands of survivors on this Earth-
While their genes still lurk behind our way
Of perceiving things and influence their mirth!
We desperately try to make a place for us in the world,
By hook or by crook, or at any cost-
And displace the fellow man by killing or maiming
Via ethnic cleansing or holocaust!
I see the slavery and third world marginalization
Still continue silently in various forms-
To display the hegemonic power for eons
By devouring the “others” and stopping their brainstorms!
In spite of innovative technologies, modern society
Is making it harder for individual mind to express itself-
By making us the “prisoners of regulations”, obesity,
And lovers of fast foods, available from the shelf!
Corporate “life” and self-repeating beings
Of consumer propaganda are encroaching us at a rapid speed-
While the religious bigotry and financial “manipulations”
Keep on sowing the low morale seed!
Via information superhighways, we are being bombarded
By silly ideas or obscured visions-
And naturally, instead of being enlightened,
We are becoming foolish to deviate from the life’s missions!
So the questions that flock my mind wander now
About individual feelings, and why not part of a monstrous
fame?
‘Cause that’s only an illusion to a philosopher,
Who believes the world is a giant field to show the power
game!
The incredible feats of manipulators, criminals, and
dictators
Act as per own genetic structure and love to dance-
While the victims are silenced in many scrupulous ways,
And not even allowed to speak up or given a chance!
The genetic structure of the individual - fanatic or
warmonger,
Moves him or her to set the tone or mode-
And creates the revolution that really counts,
But how can we revolt against our own genetic code?
Can we challenge the past millions of years
Of animal codes, and their furious behaviors for sure?
The answers may not be easy and would require
Not a revolution, but a miracle to endure!
In “Hillologue”, a revolution is nothing but the work
Of a few portentous individuals imposing a change in
society-
And they are the calligraphers of a sustainable world,
Undeterred by intolerance, xenophobia, or social inequity!
But somehow, through the new knowledge of science
And influence of corporate control of individual mind-
Growing complexities of bureaucratic “regulations”
Are routinely appearing to put us in bind!
Consequently, the individual mind has been obliterated
By broken dreams and assurances to create the tolls-
And I can see the future with handwriting on the walls
That should shake up the hapless million souls!
In “H-Ray Vision”, if neuroscience is right,
Then we are certainly the fruit or by-product of our own
genome-
Layered by the likes and thoughts of past, present, and
future,
With mother Earth as the beloved home!
Obviously we cannot help being what we are
And to me, that’s very frightening indeed-
’Cause we are the result of a genome, as I warned before,
With characters of animal forms and we love to heed!
We keep the cunning, the cruelty, and the savagery
attitudes
Of our own ancestors in our genetic trait-
And science has been placed in service of infamous crimes
Like xenophobia or holocaust to set us straight?
Ethnic cleansing, man-made epidemics,
And mandatory famine of the third world continue to soar-
Followed by genocidal wars, WMD*, and nuclear
proliferations
That are now causing the global uproar!
Well, life was better, I think, when we thought revolutions
Or miracles were possible to welcome the change-
But we are now gradually entering a pessimistic stage
Of genome philosophy from a very close range!
So my mind trotting in “Hillolsphere” sees the trend
Where men seem powerless to change their inescapable doom-
And unless we come up quickly with new ways of doing
Or viewing things, our evils will definitely loom!
I, myself, do not think that there is much of a chance
About the new dreams in my “H-Ray Vision”-
And ask: how do we change power from the corrupt
Or greedy to the “wise men” with a salient mission?
How can we train these men, and who may recognize
And choose them as well?
For the benefit of present and future humanity,
To allow harmony and peace to dwell!
Unfortunately, democracy is unable to pick up “wise men”
For the government of any nation or an alien land-
’Cause of men’s natural inclination to choose their alike,
From the smoky mountain to the desert sand!
We seem to be dominated by the credit cards
And lunatic systems that are truly out of control now-
And dangers are blinking ahead through broken dreams,
Suppressed by the technical know-how!
Surely the wise men are hard to raise, and rather difficult
To be elected for leadership or power-
’Cause most of us tend to be greedy, cruel, and power
hungry
Upon landing on the throne or ivory tower!
But remember, our genes will continue to force us
To survive and try to prosper at any cost-
So we need to wake up soon in our interdependent world
Before the value of humanity is totally lost!!

Limited resources of our planet have been depleting,
And various pollutions are continuing to soar-
While in “Hillolsphere”, the plights of one-third of our
Fellow human beings are causing the real uproar!
Diseases and hardships, caused by the polluted air, water,
And soils are taking the heavy tolls-
Especially in the developing world, the children
Are dying young with sadness in their souls!
Access to safe clean water and proper sanitation
Is the vital element towards a healthy life for sure-
While the waterborne diseases confront the poorer nations,
Resulting in premature deaths to endure!
Health risks are prompted by bacteria in unsafe water,
’Cause it acts as the breeding ground-
And pose a pressing challenge to the world community
To find solutions along the year round!
As per “Hillologue”, man has destroyed many basic elements
On which his life depends, as well as the nature-
In the process of pursuing a more abundant life
Since the past millenniums, with hopes and caricature!
Environmental degradations became apparent sooner
With developments and exploitations of natural resource-
Followed by the ravaging wars and military conflicts
With provocation of chemical usage and brutal force!
Now, besides the wars against weapons of mass destructions,
We must safeguard the water, a precious resource of our
life-
For a sustainable “Blue Planet”, before it lands on the
hands
Of an anti-environmentalist’s scalpel or knife!
Various rivers and groundwater aquifers need to be
Harmoniously managed and protected for humanity’s sake-
To make a difference to people’s health and well-being,
Regardless of income or status, before their life is at
stake!
Ill effects of biodiversity, deforestations, and land
degradations
Cause environmental havocs to slow down the goal-
Regardless of the levels of foreign aids, expertise,
Or technical assistance, the poor nations seem to face the
toll!
Remember, the international bureaucracy and control with
“Stereo-type approach” may not fill a poor nation’s need-
So in “H-Ray Vision”, I feel the role of global integration
Through a respect for our diversity will sow the success
seed!
For the benefit of humanity on this planet now and in the
future,
Let us think it over seriously to make sure-
That the air we breathe, the soil we live on,
And the water we drink should stay pure!
Well, in our interdependent world, crossroads of our
Thought processes are intertwined without a rhyme or reason-
So we must be the cheerleaders for the responsibilities
And environmental stewardship in each moment of any season!

For the professional jobs, graduates from the Universities
Have better chances and opportunities for sure-
Compared to the holders of a High School diploma,
In spite of experience, the hurdles they have to endure!
Over the years, I have heard the “Commencement Speeches”,
Given to the University graduates, along with a degree-
But most of them are full of platitudes and a veiled
invitation
To keep on old traditions that we may disagree!
The speakers tend to ask the new graduates to support
The status quo in a polite and shameless way-
While the waves in job markets continue to shift
And force the weary employees to sway!
Papuan tribesmen used to “graduate” young men
Into manhood by carrying them out to sea-
And the close relatives used to roar, with the young boy
Sitting on the boat, without a fee!
During such a voyage, he had to stare closely
At an ancestor’s skull, placed on his lap-
Until a spot was reached, and then the boy was thrown
Into shark-infested waters, with a cheering clap!
Upon lapse of time, the boy was fished out gently
Only if he had managed to keep hold of the precious skull-
And the eyes of the attending crowd honed on the boy,
Unnerved by the hums from the flying seagull!
He was then accepted in the community
With jubilant celebrations and the rank of a man-
’Cause he had proved his courage and spirit well
In the face of a true danger span!
By then, he had learnt the lessons of survival game
Through the teamwork of the tribe-
Followed by the lessons to love, cherish and honor
His ancestors, without a bribe!
For the Dani of Papua, each boy is thought to be born
With a number of etaieken, the “musical seeds”-
And prayed for their good health with a prosperity
Of the community through their noble deeds!
They believed these musical seeds create
The emotional connections that constitute human mind-
Along with the educations they had to receive
From their elders that were carefully designed!
When the “musical seeds” grow properly and relate
correctly,
The tribe does prosper in a rapid mode-
In the right forms, and at the right places, because they
are
Possessed only by human, governed by the genome code!
Well, when our young men and women graduate today,
There’s available immensely more knowledge or know-how,
But certainly no more deeper meanings
Than in a tribal ceremony or morale vow!
We must, at graduation, first thank
All our known and unknown ancestors’ hearts-
’Cause they have brought us so far
In the quest for knowledge, and created the arts!
Considerations should be given to the fact
That whatever wondrous science and technology may appear-
They are only the products of our brains, and each of us
Is endowed with our own joy and tear!
As per neuroscience, for millions of years, men managed
To outlive, using the deep meanings extracted from nature-
And enjoyed their blissful and stress free tribal life,
Immersed in brotherly love, dance, and caricature!
Nowadays, we seem to think that the construction of society
Is nothing but a science and technology matter-
Without due considerations to the facts that our brains
Are still functioning as tribal brains with a moral shatter!
We need to learn to love human beings, to learn to stare
Fixedly at death, and to respect our ancestors as well,
Just like the Papuans did; and in spite of their primitive
life,
Joy and happiness in their daily chores used to dwell!
As per “H-Ray Vision”, despite the science and technology,
We have still failed to build a civilized society for us-
Where men are happy and content, or the women’s are treated
Like doormats and kept quiet to raise any fuss!
Well, my observations of and personal interactions with
The primitive tribes on the planet Earth-
Echo the complexities of today’s societies, inundated by
Power hunger, greed and lust since our birth!
Well, remember the fact that whatever makes the doing
Of modern men “adequate and proper” is just old-fashioned
love-
For the tribes, communities, and ourselves,
With our heavenly blessings, showered from the above!!
We can consider, each and every day of our life
Is a miracle and worth a commencement vow-
With the thought that accomplishing a task
Is a step in the salient quest for graduation now!
In “Hillologue”, despite our knowledge and learning,
We seem to be doing worse than the cannibalistic tribe-
Reflected by endless ethnic cleansing, holocaust, genocide,
Discrimination, and the mass murders we subscribe!
Lately, we have added on new evils like man-made epidemics,
Drug monopolies, and sanctions of medicine and food-
Followed by the artificial floods, drug trafficking, and
Marginalization of poor nations to make them quiet for good!
Some newer evils are, however, not so ‘subtle’,
Like the organized corruptions and arms dealing-
Swayed by the financial manipulation and consumerism,
While the religious bigotry causes the bone chilling!
In “Hillolsphere”, my mind now trots alone and wanders
In shock and awe to ask: when will these events end?
And I hear the prophetic voice with a thunderous resonance
While my eyes tend to close and ears seem to bend!
Only when each of us uses our brains not only to pursue
The science and technology know- how,
But also the “deep wisdom” of survival as human beings,
Catered to deserve and maintain a harmony vow!
Only when we make the choices to improve our fates
By not following the past cannibalistic way-
Rather, via embracing the human kindness and becoming
True sons of Mother Earth, our paths will never sway!
I hope, our “musical seeds” or etaieken will grow and
continue
To germinate for the prosperity of present and future
humanity-
And allow the “Commencement Speech” to reverberate till then
Through the thin air of “Hillolsphere” without a vanity!!

The sustainable developments with a severe impact-
And is producing further deteriorations in the levels
Of living, while the quality of life is not intact!
Poverty alleviation is crucial to global economic
And environmental sustainability for sure-
With an emphasis on the universal access to
Quality reproductive health services and medical cure!
Better life, education, health care, and economic
Opportunities are the goals of millions on this Earth-
And we thrive to achieve them, not only for ourselves,
But also for the children since their birth!
Due to the lack of a sustainable environment, malnutrition,
Disease, and illiteracy are knocking on the door-
Especially in the developing nations, but the riffle
effects
Are being felt globally now more and more!
As per “Hillologue”, there are many challenges
That need to be tackled for the “Blue Planet” we live in-
And improve the standards of living without the destruction
Of environment in the way it had been!
Reproductive health and rights of youth are integrally
linked
To sustainable development for the benefit of mass-
While the natural resources and planning will stabilize
Population growth, and minimize the greenhouse gas!
Desalinization and conservation of fresh water will reduce
The chemical usage with treatment costs as well,
And the benefits will be fabulous through
A better sustainability to disallow our thoughts to swell!
In “Hillolsphere”, irresistible poverty and environmental
Stress travel hand in hand to display the misery tale-
Of many poor nations with clustered people
On low-potential lands, depicting the living hell!
Land expropriations, demographic pressures,
With reduced labor inputs are the magical factors-
To play an inexorable role with social marginalization,
And high interest loans as the salient actors!
Increasing air pollution and continued water scarcity
Affect people’s health and livelihoods without a doubt-
And the opportunity declines, especially for the poor,
With the depletion of natural resources that we must
lookout!
Proper maintenance of ecosystems and reduction of
Vulnerability to natural disasters will provide a strong
base-
Followed by the empowerment of the poor in
Decision-making that will allow them to voice their case!
Today, in our interdependent world of plenty to share,
Undernourishment is still causing the heavy tolls-
Due to poverty, political instability, and economic
inefficiency,
While the social inequity affects the hapless souls!
Access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation
Is of serious concern that we cannot overlook-
’Cause these are part of the problematic issues

Women make vital contributions to resource management
And conservation in the less developed lands-
By performing various roles, such as a cook, caretaker of
Family’s health, and conservationist of mountain to desert
sand!
Rapid urbanization has led to the growth of mega-cities
And spawned the huge peri-urban slums-
With the lack of infrastructures, basic social services,
And planned settlements to promote the hoodlums!
So, in an attempt to play with the population dynamics,
Integration of urban and rural development is a must-
By ensuring sound land use to mitigate the negative effects
Of an earlier era and avoid the planners’ minds to rust!
Migration within borders along with the international
Migration seem to rise at an alarming speed-
Because of the difference in economic conditions;
And increasing globalization is planting the seed!
The economic effects of migration run both ways,
With remittances from rich to poor nations on Earth-
And in spite of low status, low wage production,
And menial jobs, migrants still drench in mirth!
However, women migrants may become vulnerable
To commercial sex, exploitation or abuse-
And may end up in spreading of infectious diseases
Like HIV/AIDS, to blow up the physicians’ fuse!
The numbers of “environmental refugees”
Are also on the rise, causing the emigrational strains-
While deforestation, desertification, soil erosion,
And flooding continues to occur and rock their brains!
Young people can mold the future of their own nations
And others, with energy, ambition, and willingness to
change-
By avoiding substance abuse, violence, exploitation,
And exposure to infectious diseases within a close range!
In recent decades, with lower mortality, better medicines,
And longer life expectancy, population growth is on the
rise-
While the actions by individuals, policies, and
international
Commitments are a necessity to disallow our hopes to demise!
With the modern tempo of globalization, we are now living
In a world of vast and diverse demographic layers-
And despite the declining fertility rates, populations
With poverty continue to grow, and act as the salient
players!
Population ageing is also throwing in a curve now
To cause the spectrums of a demographic shift-
And the burden of diseases such as HIV/AIDS, SARS,
And Anthrax is causing the rift!
Well, in “H-Ray Vision”, the dynamics of environmental
crisis
Will continue to challenge us globally for sure-
But we need to deal with an iron hand to eradicate
pollution,
Poverty, and disease with a cure!
Remember, a link between population growth and
environmental
Degradation will move onwards to provoke us to think-
But we, as humanity, must put our brains together soon,
And allow ourselves to sever any detrimental link!!!

In our interdependent world today,
Complexities and competitions are on the rise-
Followed by the technological progress with
Fluctuating stock markets and their demise!
Developed nations are at the forefront of development
With their buying power and military force-
While the developing countries keep on struggling
And depend mainly on their natural resource!
Thus an imbalance on the issues of global economy
And human development seem to soar-
And irrespective of political debates and policy making,
The advocacy groups continue to roar!
Economic instability or wealth possession/distribution
Is at the epicenter of our development factors-
To emphasize the goals “of the people, by the people,
And for the people”, ’cause they act as the salient actors!
Human development is not limited to or
By the rise and fall of national incomes for sure-
Rather it’s geared towards the creation of an environment
Where people can allow their potentials to endure!
As per “Hillomorphic Explorations” of humanity,
Peoples are the wealth of the nations’ progress-
So the developments will link with expansion
Of peoples’ lives, and allow their thoughts to undress!
Certainly the economic growth is a primary vehicle
To enlarge any idea and the peoples’ choice-
Buried in a sustainable environment that’s most desirable
To express their unbiased voice!
For a significant development and year-round progress,
Human capabilities must be built-
Based on the assessment of things the people can do
Or achieve in life, without any set back or tilt!
Profound knowledge, access to the resources needed,
And a very long disease-free life-
May form the basis of a decent living, and assist
The community through turmoil or strife!
Always many choices are simply unavailable, and
Options of opportunities will remain inaccessible for all
of us-
But we must cross the hurdles of life to establish
The standards through sparked dialogues or political fuss!
In “Hillonomics”, human development shares
A common vision with economic freedom to choose-
Followed by human rights; regardless of ethnicity, color,
Or religion; otherwise we all have to loose!
People should be free to make their choices,
And allowed to indulge in a decision-making tool-
’Cause human development and human rights are
Intertwined to complement each other, and enjoy the pull!
Personal and social well-being, dignity, and economic
Prosperity are at the fulcrum of developmental arts-
While the self-respect and respect of others will be
The numerator/denominator in statistical charts!
With global awareness of the concept of human development,
National policy-dialogue is taking the turn-
Through country-led and country-owned consultation,
Research, and report, to avoid public outcry or burn!
As per statistical disaggregation and “Hillonomics”,
We see unacceptable levels of deprivation across the Earth-
Irrespective of locations, ethnic groups, or along the
Rural/urban hubs, to destroy the development mirth!
Illiteracy, lack of water sources, basic sanitation,
Children mortality, and unemployment continue to tell-
The saga of developing nations and their hapless peoples,
Thriving under a living hell!
Undoubtedly, the magnitude of these challenges
Appears to test the human endurance at its best,
And demands a collaborative and networked approach,
To contribute to a higher standards of test!
Well, after a decade-long “Hillomorphic Explorations” of
Human development, I am convinced to note an impressive
gain-
In many aspects, especially the basic conditions
Of achieving human freedoms, and it didn’t end up in vain!
Now, the analysis and priorities of human development
Have become an immediate political discourse-
Embraced by the world populations, because of its dealings
With many latent problems at the source!
They continue to articulate perceptions and policies,
Followed by alternate opinions for development planning now-
To promote the possibility of poverty and disease
eradication
With medical breakthrough and technical know-how!
Integration of rural and urban areas with economic
Disparities, and a meating of the minds, is a food for
thought-
While the discrimination needs to be abolished,
And outreach for civic education must be sought!
Undoubtedly, the human development is truly a complex issue
That encircles a wide spectrum of intricate affair-
And pushes us, the global humanity, through a
Merry-go-round, and still provokes us to live and share!!

Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking seem to be
So synonymous with many nations across the Earth-
And they are often a result of suppressed problems,
Or a symptom of a broader hazard, like an open hearth!
Societies of the developing and developed nations
Appear to take a perplexing attitude towards the drug abuse-
While in “Hillonomics”, the traffickers continue to make a
fortune
Via the trade channels and blow the customs’ fuse!
In spite of tight security and protectionism,
Drug abuse still exists, while dependence is on the rise-
And the effects move far beyond the abuser,
Causing harms to society-health and economy to demise!
In “H-Ray Vision”, this is becoming a social malaise
globally,
And at times, a veil of silence shrouds on this matter-
And the stigma with exclusion of abusers perpetuates
The problems to cause our thoughts to shatter!
We hesitate to discuss about the essence of drug abuse
With our own children and their peers-
And make them vulnerable to misleading sources of
Common sense or information through their adolescent years!
I feel, in an effort to prevent incalculable harm to
society health
And spread of HIV, it’s better to break the silence now-
And emphasize the availability of caring organizations,
Or the safer treatments through medical know-how!
Young people can become a mentor to their contemporaries
To play a significant role-
’Cause they tend to listen to each other better,
Compared to their parents, and minimize the toll!
But the advice on the use of drugs must be based
On hard facts, instead of pseudo science for sure-
To avoid the long term brain damage at a young age,
And the sufferings that a person may have to endure!
Besides the young people, parents and adults who care
For children and adolescents, have responsibilities too-
By providing a supportive home environment and
Discussing the effect of drug abuse, a miracle they can do!
With widespread media coverage, entertainment industries,
And urban myths, drug abuse appears to be a “normal” part-
Of adolescence and the alike today; but this should be
Just the opposite to stop the damage of mind and heart!
However, trying to scare the young peoples or forbidding
Them about drug abuse may be counterproductive or useless-
In stead, the parents and adults can equip them with social
And personal skills to protect before they dip into a mess!
Preach what we practice or practice what we preach
Is an old saying that’s known to all-
But we, the adults, need to be receptive and open-minded
To today’s youths and their call!
We must explore their hopes and aspirations,
Along with their worries and fears-
And treat them like our own allies or best friends,
And help them to wipe their guilt with tears!
Undoubtedly, drug abuse is a social problem today
Around the world, but shouldn’t be hidden under the wraps-
Rather, talking about it openly and sharing the knowledge
Globally will add a feather in our caps!
As a cheerleader of the wealth and health issues of
humanity,
Now I see the comity of nations has continued to establish
laws-
To eradicate the myths with recreational glorification
Of drug abuse, and certainly it deserves my cheery
applause!!

Seem to haunt us in a new form or manner-
While ethnic conflicts, illiteracy, poverty, and
Violations of human rights howl under a different banner!
Exclusions of too many people from the benefits of
Globalization, and inclusions of child labor are only a few-
To surround us with a cruel hegemonic manifestation of
Developmental challenge, visible within our normal view!
The growing problems of inequality both within and
Between States, followed by violations of children’s rights-
Are dissuading the unwavering commitments of international
Community and buttressing against the generous sights!
Most shocking and shameful violations of children’s rights
Are soaring now in many nations across the Earth-
To jeopardize the children’s survival, development,
protection,
And participation, or disallow them to drench in mirth!
Poverty has become one of the greatest colossal obstacles
To the universal protection of children’s rights-
And is creating their vulnerability of and exposure to
armed
Conflicts, sexual exploitations, or drug trafficking fights!
So special attentions must be paid to children, who are
refugees,
Disabled, or members of the minority classes-
And we must ensure that their rights with well-being are
Ever-present, and not compromised under dark glasses!
Through dedicated supports of global imperatives
And bilateral assistance, we can achieve the goal-
To enhance and protect the human rights of children
As a reality, and a token of peace without a toll!
Undoubtedly, Internet has become a good educational tool
For the children of many lands-
But we must control the assurance that it didn’t broaden
The child pornography, filmed near nude beach sands!
The process of globalization has widened
The socio-economic gaps among the States for sure-
While the women and children are precariously
At the receiving end, and the benefits they seem to endure!
In “Hillonomics”, the developing nations plagued by the
Economic hardships, often cannot fathom the children’s
rights-
And the girl child, in particular, suffers from
discrimination,
Abuse, or poor health care, and is kept out-of-sights!
The HIV/AIDS is a killer monster globally, followed by
The scourge of war, subjecting the children to severe pain-
And the unspeakable abuse still continues in many nations,
Engulfed in armed conflicts, and it drives me insane!
As per blueprint and “Hillomorphic Explorations” of
humanity,
All children are now recognized with dignity and pride-
And possess the rights of full human beings, free from
economic
And sexual exploitation, with congenial stride!
Malnutrition kills thousands of children every day, and
they are
Even deprived of their survival in a scrupulous way-
While the gravity of the unacceptable fate of the
Vulnerable section of society seems to shift or tend to
sway!
Child labor has become a new form of slavery
That prevails heavily in my mind and “Hillolsphere” now-
And offers “Hillominous Warnings” before the pillars
Of human rights start to crumble with the irreparable vow!
In “H-Ray Vision”, I feel the obvious need to bridge the
gap
Between existing norms and their actual adherence as well,
To eradicate the plight of the children’s rights
Under humanitarian laws, and allow peace to dwell!
Children’s participation and ability to voice their
concerns
In decision-making process is a must-
And the law should emphasize that the children are not
At the mercy of adults, or an object of lust!
Well, as a crusader for the implementation of children’s
rights,
I have begun to see a silver lining along my “H-Ray Vision”-
’Cause of unwavering commitment by the international
community
And generous funds dedicated to achieve this mission!
Remember, the smiles on the faces of children who are
refugees,
Disabled, or exploited members of the minority clans-
Will rejuvenate the global humanity with “human hearts”,
While I will rejoice with sincere efforts to promote my
master plans!!
