I was wondering if anyone had any great ideas for an ecology project with a time constraint of one month. Also taking into fact that is winter, the project would need to be completed in side. The age group would be an advanced 8th grade Earth/Life science class. Thanks so much for your help!
Sea Fun For Kids is a new and refreshingly non-corporate, talent-based Los Angeles production company. It provides exciting and educationally inspiring, sea-related experiences that kids of all ages, parents, caregivers and teachers can enjoy. Sea Fun For Kids has just released Dolphin Quest, the first in a series of thirteen marine- oriented children’s videos to be revealed over the next year.
Dolphin Quest is an imaginative, humorous and playful thirty-minute video combining clever sea character puppets, real life underwater dolphin footage and original music. The bantering puppets come together as the “Sea Fun Explorers” aboard a fanciful submarine exploring the deep in an underwater journey. As they watch, children learn fun facts about the ocean, its creatures and its importance in our world and our environment.
Inspired by the beauty of his vast underwater footage collection, Ken Corben, a marine cinematographer who has filmed documentaries for Discovery Channel, National Geographic and PBS, teamed with Fia Perera, an accomplished actress and comedian to create, write and executive produce Dolphin Quest. Together with a talented crew of puppeteers, composers and singers, Dolphin Quest was realized and has quickly become a favorite in children’s entertainment.
Dolphin Quest is a wonderful tool to help children become more familiar with our oceans throughout the year and especially for Earth Day. For those schools in the Southern California area, the Sea Fun For Kids team also performs a live puppet show version of their show and would love the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with your students.

Hi! I hope someone can give me a few ideas on what I could do to help my little girl (4th grade) to make a hat using recycleable items. Please help! Thank you!
Probably the easiest hat to make is a newspaper hat. Try this link. There are other patterns available. Just do a search for "newspaper ha" (with the quotation marks), and you'll find lots more.
