Have you had luck selling this voucher? I have my son's NETC voucher that I am trying desperately to sell. Please let me know if you had luck selling. Thank you.
I have led three groups of students to Europe and will take a fourth group in July. I always go with CHA and have been thoroughly impressed with how this company handles anything that arises. They are very efficient, deliver what they promise, and call to talk with all teachers about any changes that may be needed. CHA is the best!
I have just returned from a Paris-Madrid trip with this company and could not be more dissatisfied. They informed us about the flights at the last minute and the stops and lay overs were just ridiculous! Example: Boston-Cincinatti-Paris, about 18 hours in total, when there are plenty of direct flights to Paris from Boston. They did not honor the "optionals" that we paid for in advance, they said that there was a price hike and without letting us know they just assigned that money to this price increase leaving us without the optionals (we learned all this a week before the trip). Once there the local guide took us everywhere by metro, a group of 5 chaperons and 28 students getting around by metro in Paris and Madrid is nothing even close to ideal... Fortunately several of the chaperones knew their way around both cities and were able to plan alternate tours for the days of the optionals, we had a safe and fun trip and a memorable experience but IN SPITE OF CHA, and not thanks to them. We will never travel with them again and I would strongly warn anyone against this unreliable company
Lie #2 Mariden USA never tried to place three students on a separate flight. Mariden USA could not get an additional flight ticket on the Air France flight for the student who joined the group late. Mariden USA gave the SHREWSBURY HS group two options. 1 - to cancel the late joining student 2- to put one of the 4 chaperones and her two daughters on a different flight to Rome and that our tour guide will meet them there and take them to the hotel where they will wait for the rest of the group.
Instead of talking to us we got E-mails from Mr.Mendelson, some relative of the "Bruce" who is a lawyer in Washington DC. He tried to bully us into getting the additional seat for the student. In his letter to me he claims that Mariden USA got money from Air France to drop three seats. If the tickets are sold out they are sold out. Air France could do nothing to change it and so Mariden USa could do nothing to create an additional seat on the airplane.
#3 Unwanted layover in Paris? There are no direct flights from Boston to Rome for the price that a school group can afford. If we chartered a private jet it would have been possible. It is easy to check it out. Just go to Travelocity.
#4 They were at the airport for 6 hours and there were flights going to Rome but the had to wait. They were with Delta Airline / Air France and they do not put their passengers on the flights of other companies. They fly according to their own schedule. If there was an earlier flight with Lufthansa, we did not have the tickets for that flight and Delta was not going to pay extra to Lufthansa so that the group does not have to wait. Anybody who is in the industry or is well traveled knows that.
#5 Mariden uSA provided a different schedule but had to change the dates to accommodate the customer. It resulted in the different layover.
Mrs. Mendelson the person that was not on the trip published this on our Facebook: "Do not use this service. The problems that Bruce Mendelsohn and Heather Thompson had with Mariden USA indicate that Ms. Skrpec is incapable of running a legitimate business. She should lose whatever licenses she has. As a DC resident, I'll be sure to check her out with all my congressional and executive contacts."
The level of the vendetta is unbelievable. And the accusations are incognito.
Mr. Mendelson senior, being a lawyer and a lobbyist for a big law firm would have sued us by now if there was anything to sue us for.
