I need Help establishing Little things in my I just got an Apartment after my Illness hip full blown I lost every thing I don't even have transportation I am in a wheelchair an getting around this new town on the bus, we just moved in this apartment we don't even have beds and with fibromyalgia it makes thing hard if any one out there can help it w...See More

Barbara Bush Grant

Has anyone ever received the Barbara Bush Literacy Grant? If so, was your grant geared for a small number of people? (For example to help 20 ESL families or 30 homeless families with literacy?) Do you have any suggestions for tips for writing this grant? Thank you.

Don Davis One of the biggest things is that you need to make sure for the dollar amount your are asking for is reasonable for the number of people you are going to serve. In other words make sure you can justify the expense. Also check on their web site to see who they funded in the pasts and contact them about the grant.

nmh If you need just a whiteboard (not an interactive board) you can go to Lowes or a similar building supplier and buy shower board for approximately 12 dollars and they will cut it to fit the size you need or have your maintenance cut it (if needed) and attach it to the wall.
