I have been shopping grant writers and I have been quoted all kinds of fees. The need is so high for grant writers you should have no problem with getting yourself started.
I have been quoted anything from $35 an hour to $175.00 an hour. I have also been quoted a daily fee from $120 to $1200.00.
I hate to just hand over this kind of money, but I am starting to see with the way the economy is Banks are just not giving out loans.
Let me know when you decide to begin your journey I would love to be your 1st client!!!
Sanford added that the Foundation will accept both paper and online applications for its Student Achievement Grants and its Learning and Leadership Grants through June 1, 2009, when it will convert to the web-based system. “We have designated a staff person to answer any questions applicants may have as we make this transition,” she said. “The bottom line is that we want educators to apply for these grants and to fully understand and to feel comfortable with the new process. By phasing it in slowly over time, we hope to accomplish this.” Over the past decade, the NEA Foundation has awarded more than $4.1 million in grants to public school educators. “Our goal is to fund and share successful strategies to improve public education and to enrich our students’ learning experience by supporting their teachers’ best ideas,” Sanford said. “Through these grants, we are improving the quality of teaching and learning for everyone.”
About The NEA Foundation The NEA Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization created in 1969 by the members of the National Education Association and sustained by contributions from educators, corporate sponsors, and other supporters of public education. The Foundation offers grants and programs that support educators' efforts to close the achievement gaps, increase classroom innovations, salute excellence in education, and provide professional development. You can do a feasibility study yourself at the senior nutrition sites and are churches. Also do an online study of caregiver needs and a medical professional study of Dr.s and home health professionals. This will give you a determination of basic numbers. The greatest needs will need to be found in data from your county health studies
...See MoreI am looking for a grant to pay certified teacher(s) to organize, participate, and supervise approx. forty plus students on Saturdays (5 hours). If possible I would like to extend the program based on success to our breaks and over the summers. The program would incorporate round robin tournaments, various fitness and wellness activities.
I teach in a very low income and lack of opportunity district. We need a program for our students on non school hours.
I do not know what state you are in but each state department of education has a grant called the 21st CCLC after school grant program. This would be perfect for you. If you need more information please feel free to contact me.

I'm looking for some valid, reliable grant sources to apply for to travel around the country. I'm a history teacher and I think it could make my history lessons so much more valuable. Anybody have any information to share?
There several grants. Target has a travel grant program and Wal Mart has in store grants. The US Dept of Ed has the Teaching American History grant program and it is supposed to be out later this month or in December.
If you need anything else please feel free to contact me.

However, I do not the grant applicaiton process is on hold until Jan. It should reopen at that time.
