Is there anyone in Missouri that can help me write a grant for a historical bed and breakfast that I would like to purchase? I'm looking to restore the grounds and landscaping.

Lowe’s will donate $5 million to public schools and public school parent teacher groups - at more than 1,000 different public schools in 2006 and 2007.
Go to this web site to get information about the grant:

I am just beginning a center to reach students who have been identified as being at risk of dropping out of school. I ran across this site as I was wading through tons of info. on grant writing. Anyone have any ideas on where the best starting place would be? The service will be to offer after school tutorials and classes to parents of those students to build a stronger community and decrease the dropout rate. I have no idea how to get started.

While I know of many such grant programs aimed at providing financial grant awards to help "at risk" students one of the best places to start looking for these kinds of grants would be on your own state's website.

There are an increasing amount of faith-related daycare grant programs that are becoming more available but there are a few things that you haven't mentioned - most important of all whether or not your ministry daycare will be a non-profit, for-profit or a combination of both.
You should start checking your state's website to see what state-wide grant programs you may be eligible for.
I am researching starting a K-12 christian private school, that will provide a quality K-12 education, along with a resource program for children who are struggling in K-8 grades. For High school, there will be the traditional college tract and a life skills/work skills program for children who cannot meet their potential in a typical education model. My daughter is special needs and falls into the "blackhole" of public school with being too high for typical quality services, but too low to achieve in typical academics. THERE IS A HUGE need for children in this range and my goal is to have a school which helps these children with just extra programs in a traditional christian school model.
I have my business plan written out and my budget and growth plan for 1-5 years.
Where do I go from here? Where can I apply for legitimate grants for starting a non-profit? I am constantly searching the internet and am looking for "actual" places to apply. I do not have the fund and must have start up money.
AhsanI am extremely serious about starting a H.S. in NEW YORK. Anyone intrested in assisting would be qualified to be considered for a vacant spot for employment.

Hi, I am interested in applying for a grant to bring a computer projector into my room. Does anyone know of good websites to check out or companies to contact? Thanks!

I am a parent of three children who attend a Private Catholic School in Missouri. Since we are non-profit, it is hard to get enough money raised to support anything extra that is needed. Can someone tell me where to start to help my children's school.
Pay It Forward Foundation -- Youth Service Mini-Grants (Deadline: 10/15/07) The Pay It Forward Foundation is accepting applications for its mini-grants that support one-time only service- oriented projects identified by youth as activities they would like to perform to benefit their school, neighborhood, or greater community. Projects must be based on the concept of one person doing a favor for others, who in turn do favors for others - with the results growing exponentially.
