I have a Prekindergarten classroom that is supported by Title 1 funds. The district usually allocates a minimal amount of money for supplies each year. This money usually covers basic supplies needed such as paint, crayons, glue, etc. I would like to purchase a carpet for my students to sit on for large group time but because it is so expensive ($300), I really can't by it myself. Does anyone have anny resources for a simple grant that would cover this item?

The Foundation Center also has a service where you can subscribe for one month to find all of the corporations/businesses in your area that make charitable donations. 3. $300 seems like a high...See More

Kanshe I paid $412 for a 12 x 8 rug from Lakeshore. I received a discount and picked it up to avoid shipping charges. So I do not think $300 is too much for a rug. Yes expensive but I'm waiting to see if my PTSO will reimburse me since the school purchased rugs for first grade last year and never checked with K.

I also have tried carpet squares a...See More
