My second grade classroom is starting a unit on friendly letters and I couldn't think of a better way than to have pen pals! I have 18 students who would love to correspond with other 2nd graders. Hi - our year 4 pupils are looking for classes to write to! Last year, our year 4 children (equivalent of 3rd Grade) exchanged letters with children at a school in the USA, and really got a lot out of it. The school we corresponded with was a very rural school on the edge of Utah, and was about as different from central Milton Keynes as possible. Our area, Springfield, is an extremely multi-cultural, ultra-urban area right near the city centre. From all accounts, the children on both sides of the Atlantic really enjoyed the experience!
