I was just surfing around Discover magazine’s website and
read that they’re holding a cover design contest for their
October issue, about the state of science in America. They
want kids in 3rd grade to middle school to design a cover
that illustrates the “importance, wonder, and urgency of
science in America today. The winner of the competition,
along with six finalists, will be profiled in the October
issue and on DISCOVER’s home page.”

This sounds to me like a fun way to get kids to think about
the sciences and their application to our world today, but
what do you think?
