Leaf Exchange

I am looking for teachers to participate in my leaf exchnage this fall. This is my fifth year organizing this exchange and it has continued to be very successful! We have had a wide range of classes participate from PreK to 7th grade. This project really gives our learners a glimpse of fall around the country first hand and encompasses all curriculum areas: -language arts (letter writing) -math (sorting, graphing,counting) -social studies (mapping) -science (climate, fall changes)

Participating in the exchange includes: -Collecting and laminating fall leaves from your area -Labeling the leaf with the type of tree it came from -Writing a letter from your class that tells us where in your state you are located (for mapping)and a little about your area, school, class, things you like to do in the fall, etc. -Pictures and postcards are always a fun addition, but completely NOT MANDATORY.

This exchange has a limit of 20 participants, so that it doesn't become overwhelming....See More
