I have a Daisy troop in Indiana, and we are looking for pen pals and possibly a troop to send our Flat Stacies to for our project. We aren't quite sure how many girls we'll have for the upcoming school year, but i'm thinking 10-12. If you're interested, please e-mail me at [email removed]! :)
Each of your symbolic butterflies will be mailed to a different school on the list. If there are 18 schools participating, you would mail 17 symbolic butterflies, one to each participating class.
A "Symbolic butterfly" from each of the participating classes will visit your school for a week. Your class/students will write, take pictures or illustrate an adventure story about "the symbolic butterfly’s" visit to your class/school/community.
At the end of the visit, the stories symbolic butterflies will be mailed back to their original schools. This way each class will send and receive one symbolic butterfly & story from each participating class.
We plan to begin the project Monday, Oct. 18th. If you are interested in joining the project, email me the following information by Friday, Oct. 8th: Teacher: Grade Level: School Name: Postal Address: Email Address: Number of Students in Your Class:

I have a Daisy troop and am looking for pen pals for the them! We'd love to have a troop from abroad, but would be happy with a troop within the US as well. Please e mail if you're interested. We are from Indiana.
Hello. I'm Paula. I found an animated travel quiz site that I want to share with you. It's a fun way of learning different places without leaving home or even your classroom. Kids would learn and participate more. Hope it could help! =)
I am leader of a Brownie Troop in Sothern Minnesota and I am looking for another troop to exchange flat stacies. We have 8 Brownies in our troop. If you have a troop that would be interested in exchanging flat stacies please contact me. We would love to participate in an exchange this year. [email removed]

Hi everyone! I would like to ask if anyone else uses Weather Bear as a means to cover Geography and Social Studies? I know I've asked about this idea once before and someone was kind enough to place D. J. Inkers in wonderful places like London and Paris etc. Our Weather Bear just left for Hawaii and then plans to travel both the USA and the world. ...See MoreHi everyone! To add a new twist, I was wondering if any of you have either the Carson Dellosa Weather Bear or his friend, D J. Inkers in your classroom? If so would it be possible to send my class a picture of your weather bear in your classroom as one of his "travel stops" across the US?(Maybe a quick note about how he has enjoyed visiting your class and state!) I'd like to call it , Where in the World is Weather Bear?, but it would include D.J. Inkers as well. Our class would then send your Weather Bear a "Travel Hug" from us letting Weather Bear know what we have been up to. If this sounds like fun, please let me know ASAP. Our Weather Bear will be in Hawaii until just after Christmas. Then I'll have his itinerary ready and off he'll go! (This will also give me a chance to notify you of your scheduled visit.) Thanks so much. If you have any additional ways to tweak this and make it stress free, I'd welcome your thoughts!
