I have a great troop of Daisies; there are 13 - 14 girls that are actively involved. We will be bridging to Brownies in May. This troop is in the first grade and they would LOVE to exchange letters with a troop in another state, maybe even another country.

The idea is that we draw round a child on wallpaper. We then write questions on legs, arms etc and post it to you. You write your replies and post the 'person' back to us.
If you could please help that would be fantastic just choose which year group you would like a reply from.
Year ? St Teresa's Catholic Primary School Elsenham Crescent Basildon Essex SS14 1UE England

I teach Kindergarten in Atlanta, Georgia and I would like to do an international buddy exchange. Over the past two years my class buddy has been to Australia and England! My kiddos love participating! If you are interested please email me at [email removed]!
I’m looking for elementary level classes across the country to partake in our Traveling Buddy project to tie in with our Social Studies curriculum. My goal is for my students to learn about 3 key concepts: natural resources, physical geography and climate of each of the places that our buddy travels to by writing a short note from your class as well as including brochures, map or a couple items about where you live and learn! We are also able to skype to check in on our buddy!
Our class would send our buddy, along with information all about where we live and learn. The buddy will stay with each class participating for one week. If you are interested, please email me at alohamomts (at) yahoo dot com (make sure to type it as a valid email address!)
I will also keep classes informed of the new places "the buddy" is traveling!
I would love to join the travel buddy group. Please let me and my kindergarten class know what to do. We would be so excited!
Thanks, Tiffany Slobodnik Krause Early Elementary Armada, Michigan [email removed]

- each...See MoreI'm looking for 3 more teachers for our Stuffed Animal Travel Buddy Exchange for 2011 - 2012. We already have NC, ND, MS, and NY so classes from other states or countries are desired.
The commitment:
- mail a small stuffed animal with a journal/folder/thin binder of information about your class, school, and state
- each month host the buddy from another class and add to the journal
Current participants and teaching first and second but K-3 was the original range we were looking for.
**Must be reliable! We really need teachers who are able to commit to on-time mailing and quality entries. You also need to be willing to join our Yahoo group and post updates when you mail and when you receive a buddy so that each classroom can track their buddy. Keep in mind the cost of postage - last year boxes mailed by me ranged in cost from $9.00 to $24.00. (yes, it can add up!)
This is my 5th year arranging the exchange; only last year did we have any problems - please, if you can't fulfill your commitment, please don't join us.

We are wondering if any teachers out there are willing to host a Flat Denali. We are a homeschooling family in Philadelphia and we loved doing the project last year. Each classroom came up with such creative ideas. My daughter is 10 yrs old but we don't mind working with other groups who are younger/older. The more different and further away from Philly the better. Looking forward to hearing from you and have a wonderful year! Rossana h0mesch00l1ng at yahoo . com

Denali is my daughter's name so instead of sending around a Flat Stanley we send around a Flat Denali. It is more fun to make it personalized to the child's name.
