I am very interested in participating in the travel buddy project. I am just finding out about this amazing project, so if there is any way or anyone that could help me get started that would be great. 2011-12 school year. :)

Hi! :) We are also a first grade Daisy Troop in North Dakota. We have 12 girls in our troop but would love to be pen pals!
Hi, last year my classes took part in a Ginger Bread man exchange, and they loved it! We would like to do it again this year. I would like to include classes from all over the U.S. For the exchange, your class would design or decorate a paper gingerbread man for each class on the list. It can be decorated using your state, town or school mascot colors or designs. (Use your imagination) A short note would be included with a paragraph or two about your school. These would need to be sent by November 30 so everyone has theirs before winter break. If you would like to join us and have some fun-- send me your name, grade, email and address to debra.wolf@ ops.org. Hope to hear from

We have set up a site whereby anyone can track their travelling buddies. Basically people become the temporary owners of the buddy and can then add photos and blogs to the buddys' journeys before passing onto others to do the same (so everyone can watch where the buddy gets to). We think it is a great way to get children interested in technology, geography and different cultures. They also seem to like taking photos with the buddyies : )
As an example, you can check out out Lucy who just got to Egypt [link removed]
Mainly rubber ducks at the moment but you can add any buddy you wish.
We also have a couple more rubber ducks looking for a starting point for their journey and would be more than happy to send you one if you want. Just send us an email: [email removed]
I have a group of 17 brownie girl scouts that are looking for pen pals. If you have a larger or smaller group, we can still work with you. Inside or outside of the US is fine, we are just wanting them to learn how to write letters and make new friends. I also have a smaller daisy group inside my troop. Email me at [email removed]!
I would be very happy if we can build a classroom partnership with your students. It's diary writing project in which students take the teddy home and write about the adventures that it enjoys with them. Students get a chance to understand each others cultures and life styles through this activity. Please reply if you are interested.

I have a 4th grade class in south Texas and would like to participate in a traveling buddy project. I have had one other buddy from Australia. Another state or from another country or continent would be great. Let me know if anyone is interested. We promise to participate.
I M. a second grade teacher teaching in New York. I have participated in the traveling buddies project before I would like to join a traveling buddy project
