Washington DC is a great place to take students on an educational trip, especially middle schoolers. I have personally organized many trips and have used Class Act Tours, too. Their Personal Tour Coordinator actually does all the work for you and keeps you on task. They even give you sample parent letters and all the accounting forms plus miscl. forms needed for a trip to run smoothly. Did I mention that they were the best priced educational tour company AND the easiest to work with? I would never go back to the other companies I've worked with in the past. The lady I work with has been employed by the company for over 20 years and that says a lot to me about this organization. I would highly recommend Class Act Tours (678 881-0855)for any of your schools overnight trips. [link removed].
I am looking to have my class host a mascot, as well as we have one that is willing and eager to travel. I teach Grade 2 in a rurual community in Eastern Ontario. We do not go back to school until September 2nd, so we would be looking at Oct/November to start our travels and our hosting duties.
Donna, We would be interested in exchanging a classs mascot with your class. We go back to school Aug 21, so your Oct/Nov time frame would work great. We will be studying the migration of monarchs & are very interested in Canada. Kris
I just saw your post today. Are you still looking for an exchange partner? I teach grade 2 in Carberry MB and would love to exchange with you. It works in very well with our SS curriculum. Let me know!
I would really like to get something started soon with the traveling buddy project. Please Email me if anyone else would like to participate! [email removed]

JackieHi Gina, I'm sorry but I already have found 2 other exchange partners and I think that is enough for this year. I hope you are able to find an exchange. Jackie

I was fortunate enough to get on with a travel buddy group. However, my mother would like to get on a group's list as well. She teaches 4th grade in Tennessee. Anyone have an open slot?

Hello, I teach a grade 2 class in rural Manitoba. I am interested in doing an exchange with another location in Canada. Anyone interested in exchanging with me? I have had some great successes in the past. Email me if you would like to give it a try! Jackie
