Stuffed Animal Travel Buddy Exchange

I'm looking for 2 more teachers for our Stuffed Animal Travel Buddy Exchange for 2010 - 2011. The commitment:

- mail a small stuffed animal with a journal/folder/thin binder of information about your class, school, and state

- each month host the buddy from another class and add to the journal

Current participants and teaching first and second but K-3 was the original range we were looking for.

**Must be reliable! We really need teachers who are able to commit to on-time mailing and quality entries. You also need to be willing to join our Yahoo group and post updates when you mail and when you receive a buddy so that each classroom can track their buddy. Keep in mind the cost of postage - last year boxes mailed by me ranged in cost from $9.00 to $24.00. (yes, it can add up!)

Jolene Conley How does this work? Does the class receive their buddy back and then sends it on to the next school? Or does it go from the "host" class to different "host" class and then get it back at the end? If you could help me out here I would greatly appreciate it. Kimberly As I posted earlier, my group for this year is full. It sounds, though, as there's plenty of interest if someone wants to organize a second one. I can give advice, but can't take responsibility for the administration of a second group. It wouldn't be hard to find teachers who were interested.
