A great group of teachers is looking for several states to join our yearly postcard exchange. We are only interested in dedicated teachers who are willing to be 100% committed to this project, so please only respond if you are truly interested. Unless you have wonderful parent volunteers who are willing to supply your postcards and stamps, you will most likely spend around $50 total on postcards and stamps. Please keep that in mind!
Each teacher is responsible for sending one postcard to each participating teacher (you will send out 49 postcards and in turn receive 49 postcards). Messages on the postcards can be written by your students (or by you if you teach younger grades), and may include interesting facts about the city/state you live in, state symbols, etc. A complete address list will be emailed to you by September 1st (possibly earlier if we have 100% participation by then). The deadline for sending your postcards is October 31st.
If you are interested in joining, please email me the following information:
Your name The grade you teach Your school's name Your school's address Your email address Your school's website or your classroom website address
Once again, please only reply if you are certain that you will be able to participate fully in our exchange. Thanks!!
I am looking for teachers who are dedicated and will participate fully in this project. Each teacher will be responsible for sending a postcard to each of the other states. Please include information about your state such as state symbols and interesting facts. Our third grade curriculum includes learning about our town so we will include that information as well. In return, you will receive a postcard back from each of the states involved. Address labels will be provided to you if you wish. Also, a list of names, addresses, and school websites will be e- mailed to you.
My goal is to mail address labels by September 15th. The mailing deadline for the postcards is November 4th.
If you are interested in participating in this exchange, please send the following information to my email address: kimberleyg2003yahoo.com.
Name Grade you teach E-mail address Name you would like on mailing label (Ms. G's Third Grade Class) Name of School School Address School or class website address
I am in Mo, I have 20 states, but would like to get as many as possible. Is it too late?
Thanks, Wendi Scheer 5th grade teacher

Some people feel that teachers are not doing enough. When I lose my husband during the weekend doing job work I feel they are doing too much. Now the educational department is trying to break up the family foundation just like in the slave area. You know what you all are sitting down and letting it happen. You all don't give a damn as long as it goes in with your program!! You have these children then you want the educational system to watch your children all damn day. we are not your baby sittings. you had these children not us. If we discipline your children you want to make a bad issue over it. This is your job to keep your child in line not ours. When we grew up our parents were there for us. They set us at the table to do our Homework while they cook dinner. We went on picnic and amusement parks. We went to church as a family. Our parents share their life with us. We learned about history by go around the city. Why in the hell can't you be more like your parents. You have the children and get the glory We teach and get nothing, not even a Thank you or job well done. Yes we are bad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore!!!!!!
My name is Courtney Wright and I am a graduate of Peabody College of Vanderbilt with secondary certification (7-12) in English. Currently, I am a graduate student at Northwestern University working under the direction of Dr. Michael E. Roloff in the Department of Communication Studies with a concentration in Interaction and Social Influence. For my 2nd year project, Professor Michael E. Roloff and I are conducting a research study entitled, Classroom justice, principled dissent, and tenure status: Instructor reactions to perceived unfairness (IRB Project # 0423-055). The purpose of this research study is to explore instructor perceptions of, and reactions to, justice violations within school policies and procedures.
I am in desperate need of a population to sample and thus I am asking you, my fellow educators, if you would be willing to volunteer for my study and complete a questionnaire (the link is provided below). I am very interested in having your viewpoints included in this study and would greatly appreciate your being willing to spare a little bit of your time (approximately 45 minutes) to help a fellow educator and hardworking graduate student. The Northwestern University Institutional Review Board (IRB) has approved this research study and your participation will be completely confidential.
Please be gracious enough to complete and return the questionnaire [link provided below] via email. Directions to guide you through this technological process are included below. Because this is a “snowball” survey, we (Professor Roloff and myself) would appreciate it if you would forward this email to at least two fellow educators, one with tenure status and one without. We will appreciate any, and all input we receive regarding instructor perceptions of justice violations in school policies and procedures. Thank you in advance for your support!
Feel free to email me at c-[email removed].
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael E. Roloff, Faculty Investigator m-[email removed]

I know this site doesn't get visited much, but I will wait around for your answers.
I was spoiled and lived near Mexico, so there were cheap little restaurants everywhere that had great food. I really miss carne asada burritos. I don't care about the cost, I just want a REALLY GOOD carne asada burrito. I also am craving a chimichanga.
My other question is, where can you buy a maunapua? or hom baou (I don't know about the spelling) The doughy things with pork or chicken in them?
OK, people, feed me.
I love Sorrentos for Italian and Uncle Joe's calzones.
Besides pizza places, what other restaurants do I NEED to try?
The Greek Corner on Fireweed is really good too. And that place on the corner of C and Benson with the Chicago style hot dogs from a van is very authentic! (I'm from Chicago originally.) Tasty Italian Beef, too.
Haven't been to Momma O's on Spenard in a long time but they had really good fried halibut sandwiches.
Someone please tell me about the pre-k and or kindergarten program in Arkansas. I will be moving to the Louisiana/Arkansas area soon and will be looking for a job.

I am acertified teacher for life in Texas. My certification is from first gade to 12 grade. I have teaching experience in high school math and an experienced teacher in fifth grade. My number of years of teaching is 13 and now I am on my 14th year. What would be my teacher's salary in Alaska?
alisonYou took the words right out of my mouth--WOW! Alaska bush living sounds like quite the learning experience! Not sure how small children from CA would fair in that weather though--oh--sorry did I spell something wrong--Teacher's don't get paid enough to know everything--they are human lady!!
