No, unfortunately, Alaska considers its teachers "very special products that can only be produced in Alaska." The good news is that you can acquire a 3 year non-renewable certificate based on your certification, and during that time frame you will need to complete all the AK requirements-Praxis I, Praxis II for highly qualified status and two college courses, Alaska studies/history and the vitally important Multi-CUltural sensitivity course (sarcasm duly noted). Or you can just teach for 3 years and then leave, often a path chosen by those who teach in villages (it ain't easy).
