I talked several years in Lee and Russell Counties. Now, I teach in Columbus, Georgia. I love the State of Alabama, my home state. But, the Alabama teachers need MACE! AEA will never fight for the interests of the teachers. [link removed].
Missing MACEI do indeed miss knowing that I am a member of MACE, a teachers union that will stand up for teachers against abusive administrators. I wish that MACE were in Alabama.

I do not see any...See MoreI have recently received a life changing medical diagnosis. At retirement I had slected a benefit which allowed for a survivor benefit for my neice and nephew. Now as I face this medical crisis I wonder if there is a way to change that slection so that I reeceive the full retirement benefit to assist with my medical costs?
As people contact me; I will post updates with which states have participants. After October 1st I will email everyone the address information States still needed: Alabama Arkansas Hawaii Idaho Iowa Missouri Nebraska Nevada Oklahoma Oregon Rhode Island South Dakota Tennessee
Postcards can be anything from the state. I have asked parents to bring them in and mailed them through school mail, or ask for a stamp with the postcard. There are many options you can do with the postcards. Let’s try to get every state, even though it is a late start.
LizaI suggest checking on your credentials for teaching at Calhoun Community College. For Madison County, call 852-7073 and talk to someone in the special ed department. Our school social workers are hired through this department. They do hire contract people.
I had a wonderful teacher that I would love to connect with to let her know how much she meant to me. Her name was Sally Chambers and she taught at South Girard when I was in the 9th grade. That was many moons ago in 1972-73. If anyone know how to contact her or an update on her please let me know. Thanks, Mary Barnes
