Here is a question for those of you who have moved to
Alabama in the last year or two. Why did you move here?
I'm just curious. I moved here because my husband found a
great job here. I wish I could find one as well.

I am hoping to attend and present at some teaching
conferences in Alabama. I present instructional games....
Does any one know of any good conferences for middle
school or elementary teachers? or even math conferences???

I am a teacher, and I have just moved here from
out-of-state. I am in the Birmingham area. Can anyone
recommend a good doctor? Would prefer a female. Sorry this
is off topic. I just don't know anyone here and don't know
who to ask.

I am thinking of going back to school (BS in Psy/ BS
Acctg) and getting a teaching certificate so that I may
have a job which fits in better with having children. Are
math and science still the areas with the most demand for
teachers? Which grades is the demand in? Thanks in
advance for the advice.

Al Teachers. What are your thoughts on the attack at
Murphy and the assumed small sentence the student will
get. Has the govenor or school board superintendent said
anything to help comfort?

Okay. I give up going straight for a teaching position. I
have decided that the best thing for me to do is go for a
support position (aide, teacher assistant, etc.). When do
schools around here start hiring for those positions? Now?
