I will be moving to Alabama in January, 2008. Is it
typical or very unusual for teaching positions to open mid-
year? I will be moving to northern AL.-I could teach in
any county in the northeastern part of the state. I have
a Masters degree in early childhood ed. and over 25 years
experience.

My advise is to get started on your certification ASAP. The
school year is starting, my license is not here, and I am
way stressed because nobody would look at me all summer
because my license is pending.....even though my state has
rep.

certification. It does take a long time and you'l be surprised
at how difficult it can be to achieve Highly Qualified status.

Good luck from this North Alabama Principal.

I have had a lot of trouble getting my license. Now I am trying
to prove the certification of a school I taught at for the last
6 years, and because I took the Praxis 1 as part of my teacher
education program instead of for my actual orig. certi...See More
