I am certified in Louisiana and Texas. I am moving to
Alabama and did not want to have to take another state test
at this point in my career. Would I have to have Alabama
certification to teach in their private schools?

Depends on the school. I worked at one for three years. The
Elementary teachers had to be certified, but the middle/high
school teachers didn't. They had to be degreed and have 24
credit hours in the subject they would be teaching. This is
the minimum required by SACS, so it is pretty much the norm.
