I have been researching obtaining an elementary education certification here in AL. I have a B.S. in Business. I graduated in 1982 then went on to take 2 graduate level courses towards a Masters in Early Childhood Education. (This was took place in 1987) Now I found out that in AL you must have a overall GPA of 2.5 in your undergraduate. I do not have that. I have that in Graduate coursework and in subsequent undergraduate courses taken for professional enhancement but not for my bachelors degree. I have researched UAB and many other schools and this seems to be the stickler for most 5th year alternative programs. I thought about taking some courses at one of the 2 year colleges but those of undergraduate level? Does anyone earning an online certification works in the state of AL. Would it be as simple as earning it and then taking the APTTP? Has anyone done this? Positive feedback please?
