I am currently employed and certified in TX (elementary, ESL, reading specialist, etc.), but from time to time, I think about moving home (although I have lived and taught in TX for 20+ years). I have read through the AL Dept. of Ed. site, but I still can't find sensible directions for applying for certification through reciprocity. My first question is: what is the process?

Second question: where are the easiest locations to get a teaching position in AL? My hometown is Gadsden, so I would prefer NE Alabama, but even when I graduated from college back in 1983, it was impossible. How are things now?

Thanks for any advice!

Good Luck! :-
