My class will be reading the story the Gingerbread Man and doing a project with it. I am asking if anyone would mind assisting with this... if you would like to please email me at [email removed].
Project letter: My name is the Gingerbread Man, my friend in CLass 2H was reading a story about me and i jumped out of the storybook to visit you. My friend at school is wondering where I have run to. Please help them by sending them a picture postcard showing them the area where you live. This postcard will be posted on a large map of the world outside of my classroom. This will help the children by showing them how different parts of the world look. I know my friends will enjoy hearing from you and learning where I have run! Thank you for your help! Got to go! The Gingerbread Man

Found a fantastic new chapter-book series for ages 7-9 that the kids in my class are thrilled about. It's called the Incredible Journey Books and it has fast-paced worldly adventures filled with geography facts. The plots are interesting and the series has done the trick to get my third-grade class interested in exploring the world map. The books have a great site that has an Africa unit along with puzzles to go with each book. Go to [link removed].
We at The Education Station are happy to do you a printout of your 2007 purchases for your taxes. We clean out our database on New Year's Day, though, so please ask us before that. We always have some distressed teachers come in April, and we are very sorry not to be able to help. Just call, email, or come in this weekend, though, and we will fix you up!
I became very interested in Mike Huckabee a few days ago, then of course, after last night's upset in Iowa. However, I cannot find much in the way of his education philosophy. As Arkansas teachers, DID he as governor improve the state's educational system and do you have confidence in him "fixing" the nation's educational problems, i.e. NCLB? I know this was a pretty loaded question, but with the primary coming up, and being a teacher, I would like some real-life feedback. Thanks!
We might as well find another battle to fight because incentive pay is the latest fad. It will have to be implemented, tried, found not to work )Possibly it will work) before we move on to the next great idea fo improving education. Think about hiring thr cheapest Dr. to do your operation, or cheapest lawyer to defend you in a murder case. It may really pay to get the best/expensive Dr. lawyer, or TEACHER.

A book called "Teachers Have It Easy" (which the book underscores is FALSE) explains incentive plans that have worked and that are based upon OTHER measures and NOT test scores very intentionally-so.
I hope one of you can answer this for me. I'm graduating from college this summer in July. I understand the deadline to apply for the NTLP is June 15th. Will I be able to participlate this year or will I have to wait until next year? Anybody else have this problem?
Our school district has failed to pass the last two proposed millages. In fact, they haven't passed a millage in twenty years, I've been told. We can't fulfill 10 year facilities plan. Another millage will be voted on in April, which I'm sure will fail, as the high school teachers are not in support of it.
Does anyone know of any other school district that has been in this situation? What has the district and state done?
The Education Station's Arkansas History workshops are back by popular demand, February 19th and 26th at the Jones Center in Springdale. Call 756-8985 to pre-register. These workshops give you your required 2 hours of Arkansas History professional development, and they also give you practical information and activities for your classroom.
I am a recently graduated art teacher and am looking for an Art teaching job in Arkansas. I've already searched the AAEA job bulletin as well as the teachers-teachers website. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of any openings or even know of any other place I could search for art job openings.
Just keep checking those places as well as the arkansas democrat!
