Hi! I am trying to find out if anyone in Arkansas is using my music yet, just out of curiousity. I know of 34 out of 50 states that have at least one person that uses HeidiSongs- but not Arkansas. Is there anyone from Arkansas out there using Sing and Spell or Jumpin' Numbers? Heidi
I'm a 2nd year special ed teacher. I want to focus more on reading with my resource students. Can anyone give me some suggestions on a good reading program for high school students who are reading on 6-8 grade level.
If you are an elementary teacher who would like to participate in a postcard exchange, email me your school address and your grade level. You would need to send out postcards from your state and in exchange your class would receive postcards from other states. It is great fun for students to learn about "snail mail" and to learn about our country. I hope you can join us! Eileen
A teacher had to move at the last moment out of the area and left an opening in the 5th and 6th grade Science position. If you are interested, call Mrs. Ford at 479-674- 5618.
I currently hold a provisional licence in Arizona. What do I need to do to convert it to a license in Arkanasas? Are there any required tests? I have passed the two Arizona required tests...Thanks for the help
AZ, Go to the Arkansas State Board of Education web site. If you cannot locate information about reciprocity with Arizona, contact the agency. I believe that I contacted them by e- mail, but I'm sure they will have an 1-800 number. They were extremely gracious and helpful to me when I worked with them.I hold an Oklahoma and a Texas teaching certificate and did not have to take any Arkansas tests. I can't remember how much, but there was a very small (if any -- sorry) filing fee for being out-of-state, and I had to go to the local police station and be fringerprinted. I believe the fingerprint check was $25. Arkansas is one of the few states that has not gone completely nuts charging out-of-state teachers horrendous fees for the application process. Good Luck. I am working on my certification and have a BA degree in Human Resources Counseling. I understand I can take the Praxis 1 which I have done and need a direction as to what is next. The Praxis 2 is available but I have found no guidlines for what is required for certification for teaching grades K-4. Which Praxis 2 tests are required? Where do I find the steps for alternative certification for those who already have a BA degree?

I am considering relocating to Arkansas. I am a certified Reading Coach in Floria. I have 32 years of teaching experience. How many years does this state credit expereinced teachers?
