Volunteers needed (only 2 days)

Last year, the Arkansas Insurance Department/Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) started a Student Volunteer Program. We trained students in 10 schools (164 students) to navigate the Medicare.gov website in order to help Medicare beneficiaries compare Medicare Prescription Drug Plans durning Medicare Open Enrollment (November 15 - December 31). We worked with the FBLA and EAST students. This year, we already have 16 schools signed-up to participate. That means we are going to train over 500 students in Arkansas to do this. We need your help! Each school that participates will hold a Medicare Open Enrollment Event in their community. You can not believe how useful this is to the Medicare beneficiaries in Arkansas and they are so grateful.

The training takes from 4 to 6 hours and we provide all of the training materials. Then, we would like for you to volunteer to attend the event. We already have a couple of retired teachers that are going to help us this year....See More
