I would recommend the USC Rossier School of Education Masters Program. I have worked with a student teacher through their program and it is excellent. I'm not sure about the cost however. As far as other advice I can recommend that Math would be a great choice for education. The grumps on the message board saying there aren't jobs are wrong. If you are smart, enthusiastic, passionate, then you'll be one of those called for an interview and win the job. Since you are female that's an even bigger plus since we're still not seeing very many females in that role. There may be a lot of people with the credentials to teach but most are NOT choosing to teach...especially middle school. It is true that upper-level math would be a good path, but those kids will be easy to work with and those jobs are harder to get because a lot of teachers only want to work with student who are easy to teach...boring.
