Accuracy is not an essential part of this [Linda McMahon] deconstruction formula. For the record, Murphy hasn't skipped 80 percent of the meetings "for his job." McMahon's jobs plan is as much of a work in progress as Murphy's. (Notably, she declines to say how she would pay for the tax cuts at the center of her proposal.) Murphy also leads a bipartisan initiative looking for compromise in Congress.
This is a simple and classic marketing recipe: Say something so many times that people will believe it.
I am currently looking for an Art Teacher position in CT in Hartford County or the surrounding areas. I would like to teach high school but could do any K-12. I have 4 years experience. Any advice or leads? I've applied to all the school systems in the areas and CTReap. Is the job market really bad right now?

Jenn: That's not always true > My FOIA request came back from the CT DOE and I found out that Waterbury was issued DSAP permits for a Middle School Math teacher. I had applied for the same job, am certified, have a B.A. in math, and six graduate credits in aplied math.
I spoke to someone at their H.R department about them not hiring a certified applicant first. They made no bones about hiring under a DSAP first.
Jenn I agree with you 150% about how they SHOULD hire. Apparently they don't!

So what you're saying is that if a man was there none of this would have happened??
You're ridiculous.

I was fired by this company. I am a certified teacher. I was truly overqualified coming from another state with a license and had excellent references. This company is nasty to put it bluntly. They are only concerned with gathering more companies to add to their list (which I am sure is proportionate to those they lose due to their disrespect of humanity) and more employees as well as they seem to have an extremly high turn-over rate. as well. They are unprofessional but cloak themselves as the opposite much like the "devil in disguise." I would not go back there even if asked as I was so stressed out while working there that I caught pneumonia not once, but twice! The staff were so oppressive that my immune system suffered. This place needs a UNION if ever anywhere did. Teachers should not be subjected to this type of employ; it reminded me much of the factories that I read about where bosses did and said anything and no one could do a thing about it.

However, there are also a lot of people who do it, so you aren't going to make huge bucks here. I substitute teach and also do classified substituting so that I work more often.
You also have to have a bachelor's degree to do it and be Oregon state certified for positions lasting more than three months.

My name is Kayla Tarantino and I’m an English student at Southern Connecticut State University. I’m writing to you about a project that I have been working on in an English class focused on public writing. I hope that you will be interested in learning more about what I’m doing and how you can help!
My goals for this project are to collaborate with educators in the New Haven area and to get student involvement on the blog that I have created. The blog is called Poetry For Your Cause and is on its way to becoming a community of young poets submitting their writing about what matters to them. In a world where there are so many technological advancements being made, I want to put student’s voices out there and grow a large following. Internet publication is surprisingly easy, yet most students do not utilize it towards the greater good. I hope to give them an outlet other than Twitter or Facebook for their thoughts and concerns about local, world and personal issues.
What I am asking of you is to share with your students what I am doing. The more involvement I get, the more I can grow and the larger reach student work will have. This is not a form of shameless self promotion I simply wish to get students excited about writing in constructive ways. I have a flyer that you can feel free to hand out to your class-- email me if you would like a copy.
Visit Poetry For Your Cause to learn more. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me at [email removed]
Thank you so much for your time,
Kayla Tarantino Poetry For Your Cause Administrator [email removed]
We would love to have a teacher from your wonderful state join us for our 2013-14 postcard exchange! It is a fun, educational activity for all ages! My kindergarten class has loved getting mail and listening to the fun facts about the states! We have classes from K-6 participating. Please email me for more information!
Hey CREC: Your sniveling complaints about a math teacher shortage should fall on deaf ears.
