Just curious...I am feeling so overwhelmed this year with paperwork (SRBI and other accountability-related work), intervention groups, extra meetings, school improvement plans (and I'm not in a failing district), etc. I feel like I'm constantly documenting everything I do, implementing several new programs and initiatives simultaneously, and working on multiple goals (professional, school, district). And that doesn't include after school programs or professional development. I'm a pretty effective at multitasking but this year I can barely keep up.

Is it just me or are other people feeling this way? My energies are being sucked away from just teaching kids.
Liz I should have added that I am grateful to have a job and don't mean to sound otherwise! I love what I do but am feeling unusually overworked this year. I just wonder if others are having a similar experience.

Hart I agree with you.

3 years ago I was a better teacher, concentrating on my subject area but the last 2 years feel to me just as you described.

I am not even sure anymore if I am cut out for teaching [in my 7th year].
