Is there a tax software that understands that CT teachers do not take part in Social Security? My wife is a teacher, and I'm working on our 2010 income taxes. All is fine for my typical non-teacher income, but when I enter my wife's income with no social security contribution, the software treats it as if we didn't pay but should have, and our taxes due jumps from $0 to $3000.

I've never had consistent luck with the software options in the past... is there a trick? Last year TaxCut seemed to deal with it fine, but they completely changed the software this year (again?) and it is back to not understanding CT teachers again. Any advice?
