I am a new teacher who just completed certification in NY.
I am hoping to relocate to Waterbury and would be available
to work beginning with the 08- 09 school year. I am
currently applying for CT certification. I should have cert
in special ed, elem ed, and ESOL.
Could anyone provide any insight as to the hiring process
in Waterbury? Time lines? Job fairs? Is it best to apply
directly to principals in addition to the board of ed?
Probability of finding employment? I can only move with a
job in place. Thank you for any help.

My only advice would be: DON'T DO IT!!!! Waterbury is a
tough place to work...and not because of the kids. It was
also just named the worst city in the country in Forbes
Magazine. Take my advice and experience!
