I have a student who is too young to be in the grade he is currently placed in. While he is a bright student, I am at my wits end with thinking of the appropriate place for him to go for one year. Ultimately, the school would like him to mature for a year then return to us as a 7th grader. Does anyone know of any programs or schools that might cater to an extremely bright but horribly disorganized 10 year old coming out of the 6th grade?
P.S. There is a series of extenuating circumstances that prompted him enrolling in my school in the first place
I am a 5th grade teacher in New York State and am wondering if you would like to join an online project for 5th grade classrooms across the USA which will begin this fall. I am including the link to my project homepage for you to view and see that it is an easy project to integrate into your curriculum. [link removed]!
I am looking for a very cose friend of mine. I hear that he is teaching children with behavior problems. The students call him "Mr. Mitch". Does anyone know this teacher? If so, please email me back or forward this information on to Mr. Mitch please.

I need help in finding out the requirements of obtaining certification for teaching in DC. also i need help in finding a job teaching! any suggestions, or comments?
Teaching is not what YOU make of it in DC. Teaching in DC is very difficult because the long term bureacrats do not care about you or the students. You would feel better putting yourself through a meat grinder. Don't listen to the paid shills for DC public schools.
Another Burnout... now teaching HAPPILY in norther VA.

"I'M FEELING JUST DUCKY" is a free story/coloring book put out by OSSD (Overcoming The Stigma of Seizure Disorders), of Savannah, GA.
We want to reach as many teachers, students, and communities that we possibly can, as seizure disorders are still one of the most misunderstood ailments in society today.
This book tells the tale of a little duck who has seizures, and how he learns to conquer his fears along the way...thanks to Mother Duck and pals.
Please contact Pam Steadman at [email removed].
It is SO IMPORTANT that ALL children know what to expect during a classmate's seizure. This book reaches out in a very gentle and informative manner.
