Hey guys, I am currently working in the Fed Gov as a Budget
Analyst, but want to teach Middle School science. I have a
BS degree from HU in Biology and want to do something else
with my talents then bend numbers. I took the Praxis I exam
and passed it to teach in DC. However, without getting into
a program, does anyone know how I can go about teaching in
DC schools? Although I have tutored and done children's
ministry classes at my church, I have never taught in a
real classroom setting. I thought about just applying to
the schools that I want and hopefully will get a call back.
What do you think?

accepted into Physical Therapy school here in Washington, DC
and we have a 4 month old baby also. If things were different,
believe me I would be out.

science teachers and will give sign-on bonuses. Check out some
of the schools in Northern VA. They also have a website that
tells how people who have degrees in other areas can become
teachers. Type in Virginia Department of Education and it
