I am leaving my position as special ed teacher for a
lovely group of kids ages 8-14. These are level 5 kids
who take the alternative assessment. Currently, I
supervise 4 support staff, and have 11 children. It's a
perfect situation for a special education coordinator that
wishes to return to the classroom. The kids are wonderful.

St. John's Community Services is an excellent organization
and they are expanding their school program, which is
considered as a non-public school under DCPS as their
SEA. Their benefits are amazing (they pay 2 dollars to
every 1 dollar you put into a 401K!!) and since they are a
salaried position, you don't have to worry about year end
contracts. The salary is phenomenal and beyond what DCPS
pays on their scale.

If you are interested and are licensed to teach children
with disabilities, please send your resume and cover
letter to Ashanthi Kiridena at [email remo...See More
