Everyone might like to think about attending the stimulating conference and film festival at the University of the District of Columbia September 26-27: Kidding Around: The Child in Film and Media, with panels, leading academics, great films for students, teachers and families and especially a TEACHING MEDIA LITERACY WORKSHOP FOR EDUCATORS: 4:30-6:00pm. Saturday, September 27. Presented by Women in Film and Video of Washington D.C. the workshop provides the tools, syllabus and ideas to introduce fifth grade and up students to the concept of watching films and media with a critical mind. All panels are held in Bldg. 41/A-03. All films are shown in the UDC auditorium. University of the District of Columbia, 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW. Sat. free parking in Van Ness lot. Red Line Metro to Van Ness/UDC. Everyone is welcome.
