I posted on the counselor's board but didn't get a response. I am moving to Southern DE this summer and am looking for an elementary counseling position. I am a school counselor in PA and a UD grad. I know this search will be difficult - any advice? Any known retirements or openings?
My son and I took an introductory college tour at the University of Delaware yesterday, and the strangest thing happened. We got to the math building, and one of the parents on the tour reached into her bag, pulled out a flyer, and tacked it to the bulletin board near the Math department. It was a flyer for people taking the Math Teacher Praxis exam - which I am taking in a month. I copied down the website on the flyer: [link removed]?

As part of a graduate research project, I need to gather data from current teachers. I’m researching the use of technology in the classroom and what factors affect it. If you could just take a few minutes to complete my survey, I’d appreciate it. The survey is online and has 15 questions.
Hello all! I'm looking for an elementary class that is interested in a postcard exchange project. If you, or someone you know, is interested please let me know. I'm missing a participant for your state.
For this exchange, we will all send a postcard to the other 49 state participants during the school year that contains a real-life (not kid-drawn) picture of their state (or a feature of the state) and some fun facts for the students to learn. (I saw vistaprint.com had some good deals on state postcards bought in bulk). Once I gather all the state participants, I'll forward the addresses of everyone before school starts (in label format so you can peel and stick). In this email I will let everyone know what month they are to send their cards out. This way we get them throughout the year. I will also try my best to send a friendly reminder at the beginning and end of the month for those who are to send out to help remind everyone.
Please email me with the following information so I can mark you down as the participant for your state.
Your name (with appropriate abbr. Miss, Ms., Mrs., Mr.) Your school name Your school address Your grade level
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me!

Hello! I am looking to make a career change to become a teacher or an assistant teacher. Unfortunately I did not go to college for teaching, and do not have a certification. This narrows down where I can apply by a lot. I am interested in teaching/assistant teaching for K- 3rd grade. Does anybody have any advice? I feel that no one has openings.

Pax vobiscum, Dale Henderso...See MoreUsing your figure of 70% is still an overwhelming sign of truth about the teacher-hiring procedures in DE as a teacher. However, I will unwaveringly stick with my opinions on the subject which are backed up by years of experience with the powers-that-be, have been, and always will be in DE and many other states.

I'm looking to add DELAWARE to a postcard exchange that I started. Any grade is welcome! I am collecting one per state so it is a first come first serve.
Once I have a representative from each state I will be sending info out or August which ever happens first!
I did buy the exams from [link removed].
