I sent in an application for teaching certificate to the FDoE. They received it on June 12. On the website, it says "As of September 1, we are now processing applications within the last 60 business days." Obviously, they got mine before that time period, yet when I call, the automated system tells me my application is still processing.
Has anyone had to deal with this? How can it still be processing if it's past the time period the department was supposed to process it?
Also, does anyone have a number where you can actually get in touch with someone there who can answer certification questions? I can't seem to every get in touch with a person there.
wintering6Still processing. I spoke to someone at the Dept. of Education - all the info she would give me was "current teachers come first." I did more research. There are reviews for Dept of Education on Facebook that complaining of the same thing. That it's taking 6+ months to process these things.
wintering6I took this. I had to compile my own materials from various sources on the internet. None of the study guides will help. Believe me, I tried them all.
I am taking the GK Reading on Saturday. This is the final test that I need to pass before my temporary certification expires. Can someone please offer some assistance and advice? Thank you very much! -Michelle
I took my Professional Education test today and I failed, mostly because I only studied for it in a website called Study.com which I regret now. I came across several concepts in the test they never covered. I feel awful having trusted only one source. Can anyone recommend me a reliable source to study from?
WaitingOnGodotI used the PRAXIS study materials to study for the PLT test. I did well. I actually thought the study materials were much harder than the test itself!
I need to retake the essay portion of the GKT. At this point I'd like to knock out the practice with a tutor. Does anyone have recommendations for a good tutor? Or if you have essay resources that would be great. Thanks!
