I Hope someone will be able to help me.

I have no teaching experience at all besides some volunteering.

I do have my bachelors degree in legal studies.

I have taken the Elementary Education Exam and have not passed.

I will be taking it again in three weeks.

S. from FL Hi Ruth, I was in a similar position. Go to the FL DOE website and read about becoming a "career changer". Then write to the DOE and tell them what subject area and grade(s) you are interested in teaching. K-6 Elementary Test

Why is the K-6 Elementary test so difficult to pass. I swear I have been trying to pass the test for the past year. I have taken it several times with not LUCK. I also think that they switch the test and it's truly hard to find content to study / prepare for the test.

Rubio record

As a teacher in another state - I am looking at all candidates running for president. I know I can't vote for Bush because he was a major player in hyper-testing and CC. But - what about Rubio? What was his record there on teachers and education?

I am thinking of moving to FL from GA to teach elementary school. However, if it is the same as GA, I do not want to. Does FL focus on small group instruction, only? What is it like? Thanks!

I just used the study guide that's for the test. However, I have a strong ELA background and already had my master's in Reading.

FL Teacher I passed it on the first try. I bought the FTCE study guide for around $6.00 on the FLDOE website. It was skimpy, so I googled the standards listed in the guide and studied that way. It wasn't bad at all. Good luck!
